Dark clouds hung over the front line of the war, and nearly half the island had already sunk while the number of wounded was beyond count.
This was the Marine base directly facing Kaido's forces. Personnel on the island were evacuating in an orderly manner as the top fighter dealt with that enormous monster…

Roar!
A savage beast's roar shook the sky as a blazing pillar of energy tore through the air and shot toward the retreating fleet.
Buzz!
Light gathered above the ships where Borsalino stood with his hands in his pockets.
"So noisy~"
His right leg turned into light as he lifted it toward Kaido's incoming Blast Breath, and a laser far thinner than the blazing column shot out from his leg, extending endlessly.
The laser collided with the breath and held for a few seconds, but then the flames suddenly swelled and crushed forward.
The laser scattered in all directions. In an instant, the attack reached him, and an exaggerated look appeared on Borsalino's face.
His figure was swallowed by the flames, and the light dispersed.
Boom!
A massive explosion erupted in midair as the breath detonated before reaching the fleet.
Buzz!
Light gathered again at the top of the harbor's watchtower as Borsalino reappeared there.
Immediately, countless green wind blades rained down, and he crossed his hands in front of his chest.
"Sacred Yata Mirror~"
He turned into light and vanished in a flash.
Boom, boom, boom…
The wind blades swept past, and the watchtower collapsed.
In the sky, the azure dragon wrapped in flame clouds lost sight of Borsalino, and its gaze shifted downward to Law, who was using his ability to transport people.
A cruel smile appeared on the dragon's savage face.
Its enormous body began to spin as thunder roared and a massive storm of lightning clouds formed.
From within the spinning storm, green wind blades shot out.
"Dragon Twister!"
The violent storm crushed across the island, shredding and erasing everything in its path, even the land itself.
The half of the island that had vanished earlier had been wiped away in exactly this manner…

Below, the Op-Op Fruit's ability shield covered the remaining half of the island as people and supplies were constantly transferred onto the warships. Law looked at the approaching storm.
"Damn it."
He gripped his long sword with both hands as electricity gathered along the blade.
"Radio Knife!"
A sharp flash streaked forward, and several wind blades in front of him split apart and shattered. It did nothing to slow Kaido.
Seeing he could not stop the advance, Law redirected his ability toward the wind blades and kept transferring them away.
* * *
At the same time, in the sky.
Buzz!
Endless light gathered, and a cross-shaped glow shimmered like a second sun.
"Yasakani Sacred Jewel."
From the giant golden cross, countless light bullets rained down toward the lightning storm and the green wind blades.
Light bullets and wind blades collided and exploded, blocking the attacks from reaching the soldiers as the light bullets continued to pierce into the storm and explosions echoed nonstop.
From afar, the black thundercloud mixed with golden light looked strangely beautiful.
The barrage suddenly stopped and Borsalino appeared again, staring at the massive storm as if thinking.
Then his body began to turn into light.
Boom!
The enormous thundercloud exploded as violent air currents and wind blades swept through the sky, but Borsalino had already vanished.
At the center of the explosion, an azure dragon shot upward while flames wrapped around its body and spread across its entire form, as if it had become a gigantic fire dragon.
A streak of golden light shot in from the side and gathered near the dragon's head, forming Borsalino's figure as the two of them continued rising with the last of their momentum.
Borsalino looked at the massive fire dragon and made an exaggerated face.
"How scary~ There's no way to block something like this!"
Flames wrapped around the huge dragon, and the heat was so intense that anything that came close began to melt.
From the savage dragon head came Kaido's voice.
"Worororo! If you can't stop it, then die!"
As his words fell, the dragon had already climbed several thousand meters into the sky.
It shot a fierce glance at Borsalino before diving toward the remaining half of the island as flames gathered around its head, seemingly meant to bury everyone below in a single strike.
"Flame Dragon Torch!"
"Rising Dragon: Flame Bagua!"
Borsalino stopped rising and watched the dive, then shook his head in helplessness and turned into a beam of golden light, shooting downward.

On the island below, a violent wave of Conqueror's Haki suddenly pressed down and overwhelmed everyone present.
Law, who had been directing the evacuation, felt it at once and looked up.
The Haki was aimed at him.
He did not know why that thought appeared, but the next second he tried to use his ability and realized he was already locked on by the diving figure.
Cold sweat formed on his forehead.
'Damn it. Since when did I become this valuable.'
He kicked off the ground as afterimages streaked through the air while he ran in the opposite direction from the evacuating Marines.
The distance was still great, but once locked in, no matter where he ran within this range, that terrifying attack would follow.
He could only move as far away as possible from the crowd and soldiers.
He stopped at the edge of the island on the far side as the ability dome covering the island vanished at once. Sliding a hand along his blade, he said.
"K-ROOM."
He infused the power of the Op-Op Fruit into the sword.
Looking up at the burning killing intent rushing toward him, he took a deep breath, gripped the hilt with both hands, and aimed at the giant dragon diving down at him.
"Puncture Wille!"
The blade, altered by his ability, stretched endlessly into the sky.
A violent shockwave ran through it, promising not only heavy damage but also a powerful impact through the target.
Boom!
The tip of the blade collided with the dragon's head, and a massive explosion erupted.
White rings from the sonic blast spread outward as air waves swept across the island.
Roar!
An angry dragon cry echoed as the long-forgotten pain stirred Kaido's wild nature. Haki burst from his body and crushed downward.
Law staggered but clenched his teeth and held on.
"This is bad…"
The blade's tip was already shattered under the pressure as Kaido forced it down. The sword kept breaking apart while fragments flew away, and the flaming dragon head smashed toward him.
From the sky, a laser shot out.
Far out at sea, a figure holding a cane sword sped across the surface.
The blade was coated in black Armament Haki, and the power of the Press-Press Fruit was added to it.
He swung toward the upper part of the island as a quiet murmur followed.
"Gravity Blade: Raging Tiger!"
Roar!
Black Haki swirled and condensed. Combined with the gravity power, it formed the phantom of a black tiger that charged diagonally upward toward the flaming azure dragon diving down.
