Bai Ningning exclaimed happily, "Doctor Chen, you finally answered the phone! I thought you were asleep."
"Yes, I was asleep," Doctor Chen's voice was a bit tense, "I was woken up by your phone call."

"I... I didn't sleep well last night, so I went to bed early today," Doctor Chen found an excuse.
