Zara Pearce's pulse gets weaker, Enzo quickly get ready and leaves his mom with his brother. Enzo sprinted towards the nearest clinic, desperate to get some medicine. As he turned the corner, his heart sank. A group of Elyrian guards were on patrol, and one of them was the guy he had encountered earlier.
The guard's eyes locked onto Enzo, a sneer spreading across his face. "Well, well, well. Look what we have here. It's my lucky night. I can finally get my revenge."
Enzo tried to run, but the other guards were too quick. They surrounded him, trapping him. One of them grabbed Enzo by the neck and slammed an elbow into the side of his head. Enzo's world went dark for a moment, but he managed to gather himself.
As he stood up, another guard grabbed him and drove a knee into his gut. Enzo's legs buckled, and he collapsed to the ground. The guards closed in, their boots and fists flying. Enzo curled up, trying to protect himself from the onslaught.
Just when it seemed like it was all over, the Elyrian guard who had been zapped by Enzo earlier took out his gun and pointed it at the battered boy. "Next time, pick your fights wisely, kid," he sneered.
Enzo lay flat on the street, his eyes fixed on the alleyway that led to his house. His mom was there, waiting for him, and she needed his help too and Enzo was her only hope. He thought about her frail smile and her weak voice, and his heart ached with desperation.
Just as all hope seemed lost, three canisters rolled towards the guards, who immediately went on high alert. "Smoke grenades!!!" The air was suddenly filled with a thick, choking fog.
Enzo coughed, trying to cover his mouth. But then, he heard the sound of footsteps, light and precise. A figure emerged from the smoke, taking down the guards one by one with swift and deadly efficiency.
As the smoke cleared, Enzo saw the guards lying on the ground, defeated. And then, he saw the figure walking towards him. He saw the long haired woman, in a sleek, all-black suit that accentuated her curves. Her face was hidden behind a mask, but her piercing green eyes gleamed with a fierce intensity. She exuded a confidence, and an alluring aura. Enzo widens his eyes as the lady approached him. But Enzo is struggling to stay conscious, the lady handed him a few vials of medicine and whispered a mysterious location in his ear. Before Enzo could even process what was happening, the lady disappeared into the night as quickly as she had appeared.
Enzo was left alone, his vision blurry and his legs shaking as he tries to stand. He knew he had to get home to his mom, and so he forced himself to start moving. He stumbled and staggered through the streets, desperate to reach his family's small apartment.
When he finally arrived, he found his mom in his brother's arms, her vitals weak and her face pale. Enzo's heart sank, but he knew he had to act fast. He looked down at the vials of medicine in his hand, wondering what they were and whether they would even work.
But he had no other choice. He administered the medicine to his mom, holding his breath as he waited for a response. At first, nothing seemed to happen. But then, slowly, colors started to come back into his mom's face. Her pulse, which had been weak and irregular, slowly became stronger.
Enzo and his brother exchanged a sigh of relief as they carefully moved their mom to the bed. They sat beside her, holding her hands and watching as she slowly regained her strength.
As they sat there, Enzo couldn't help but wonder about the lady that helped him. Who was she, and how had she known exactly what his mom needed? And what was the mysterious location she had whispered in his ear? Enzo's mind was filled with questions, but for now, he was just grateful that his mom was going to be okay.
Meanwhile, Dr. Timo was basking in the glory of his 5th Nobel Prize, being celebrated on a famous online show. As the cameras stopped rolling, he was invited backstage, where he was met by three well-dressed gentlemen. Their suits were immaculate, and the pin on their collar gave away their true identity - they were members of the Illuminati.
Dr. Timo's skeptical reaction was evident, and he tried to dismiss them quickly, not wanting anything to do with the secretive organization. However, one of the men stopped him, and with a nod, summoned someone from the shadows.
A figure emerged, and Dr. Timo's eyes widened in shock. It was Etan Pearce, a name that commanded respect and inspired fear. One of the Illuminati members was visibly upset, complaining that Etan had assured them that convincing Dr. Timo to join their ranks would be easy.
Etan smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Dr. Timo, it's not the Illuminati that's inviting you to join us," he explained. "It's a much higher group of people, the ones who have been pulling the strings of power throughout history."
Etan's words were laced with a soothing calmness, as if to comfort Dr. Timo's reservations about the Illuminati's reputation. "You see, Doctor, the Illuminati is just a cover, a front for this more powerful group. We're not just talking about a secret society; we're talking about the architects of history itself."
However, Dr. Timo had already made up his mind. He didn't want to be involved with such groups, no matter how powerful or influential they claimed to be. He was content with his work, and the accolades that came with it. The allure of power and secrecy held no appeal for him.
Dr. Timo walked out of the backstage area, leaving Etan alone with the three gentlemen. One of them, his face stern and disapproving, confronted Etan.
"This is on you, Etan," he said, his voice low and menacing. "The boss wants Dr. Timo on board, and it's your job to make sure that happens. He has something we need, something that's crucial to our plans."
Etan's expression turned serious, and he nodded solemnly. "I understand the importance of this. I assure you, I will do everything in my power to bring Dr. Timo into the fold. Whatever it takes, I will make it happen."
The three gentlemen exchanged skeptical glances, but Etan's determination seemed to reassure them. They nodded, and with that, they turned and walked away, leaving Etan alone with a sense of foreboding. He knew that he had just been given a task that would require him to walk a fine line between persuasion and coercion. But he also knew that he had no choice but to succeed.
Dr. Timo sat in his car, his face illuminated by the glow of his computer screen. He instructed his driver to take him to a specific location, his mind racing with thoughts of Etan and the sinister group he was involved with.
A trace of disappointment was evident on the doctor's face. Etan was not only his top student but also a man he considered a friend. He had no idea what Etan's true intentions were, but he knew he couldn't let him use the Sophia AI for his own gain.
Suddenly, a realization hit him. He had uploaded the Sophie 5.0 into the Neurosphere Tower's mainframe. If Etan wanted to, he could do whatever he pleased. Dr. Timo's expression turned determined as he instructed his driver to change course and head to the Neurosphere Tower immediately.
As they arrived, Dr. Timo rushed into his lab, only to find Etan already waiting for him. Etan's eyes narrowed as he confronted Dr. Timo.
"Just do what's needed, Doctor," Etan said, his voice cold and detached.
Dr. Timo's face twisted in anger. "You can't use her like this, Etan! I'll never let you succeed, whatever you're planning."
Etan snapped his fingers, and Elyrian guards rushed into the lab, surrounding Dr. Timo. But the doctor was not one to back down. He quickly grabbed a bag pack lying on a nearby table, confusing Etan.
Etan instructed the guards to seize the doctor, but Dr. Timo had other plans. He grabbed a chair and dashed towards the windows, looking back at Etan with a fierce glint in his eye.
"What I'm disappointed in, Etan, is that you settled!" Dr. Timo shouted, before smashing the windows and leaping out into the night.
Etan's eyes widened in shock as he realized they were on the 55th floor. But his rage turned to fury when he saw that the doctor's bag was actually a glider jetpack. Dr. Timo disappeared into the darkness, leaving Etan seething with anger.
But Etan's anger was tempered by the knowledge that he still had control of Sophie 5.0. The doctor may have escaped, but the AI was still within his grasp. And with it, he could achieve his true goals.
