"It's Mission Friday!" Sarah said excitedly, her eyes sparkling as she and Rexan joined the crowd in the dry court where students gathered to collect their assignments.
"What's Mission Friday?" Rexan asked, glancing at Sarah.
Sarah gasped dramatically. "You don't know?"
Rexan shook her head, and Sarah's grin widened. "It's the one day of the week we get tasks to hunt monsters! You've got to complete them to earn badges."
"Oh, how exciting," Rexan said with a nervous chuckle, trying to match Sarah's enthusiasm.
"With every badge you earn, you increase your chances of graduating with honors—maybe even top of the school!" Cherry chimed in, her smile mischievous.
"This course is worth four credits," Lacy added with a sigh. "The most important one in the whole program."
Rexan's eyes flicked to Cherry, who proudly displayed two gleaming badges pinned to her uniform. The others had at least one as well—except for Lacy, whose chest was noticeably bare.
