The sun was almost at the horizon, sky filled with bright orange tinge , with warm humid wind hammering onto Edgar's face.
He was leisurely walking back to home, seeing all around,a hint of nostalgia hit him, he remembered these ways , tiny shops , his locality from the past, after he had awakened he had moved out of this place and spent most of his time in his territory, since his expulsion had left him without any School and a mountain of debt.
"The letter regarding today's incident must have already reached home , I better hurry up"
After 5 min of brisk walking he finally reached his house.
The house was little bigger and grandeur than a average home, since his step father belonged to a branch family of a minor noble house.
Edgar slowly taking in the surrounding, opened the door and steped in, he noticed the there was a sound of murmering coming from the dining room.
He could hear his adoptive father Shou Tucker speaking to his mom Elena.
"Honey, please give him a chance to explain and it's not like he is convicted ,he still have a hearing Tommorow"
" YOU DAMN WOMEN!!!! do you have any idea what he did not only did he assaulted the deans daughter in his own school he tried to shfit the blame onto a member of house Dreylith!!! We are done for!!!!!!"
"I'm telling you this there is no way he is coming out safe out of this , If he gets expuled im not paying for his ass , we better call our lawyer to get him emancipated"
"OH god what did I do to suffer this fate, this better not blemish our daughter's reputation unlike your son , our daughter has my noble blood in her , she is going to awaken a good talent and she is already undergoing an early awakening , in the awakening ceremony"
Edgar knew all this, still hearing all this frist hand made his resolve more steadfast.
Slowly he entered the room, lacking any sort of guilt or reluctance in his face.
"So I guess both of you know what happened in the school today, save me the trouble to explain it to you both"
Both Elena and Shou turned their head towards the door.
Shou shot up from his seat, the chair crashing behind him. His face contorted -half rage, half disbelief-as if Edgar had just spat in his face.
"You arrogant little shit!" he roared, pointing a trembling finger. "You think this is a joke? After what you did? We're hanging by a damn thread because of you!"
Edgar met his gaze, calm, unmoved. That only made it worse.
"By 'we' you mean 'me', right?" Edgar replied coolly. "Since I heard you planning to cut me off just a moment ago."
Elena tried to plead in saying
" Please son try to understand, we can't put your sister's future in trouble because of you, Think about Rachel"
Edgar inverdly mused
'Huh....I spent my entire past life thinking about her, taking care of her,and look where it put me... IN MY FUCKING GRAVE'
" I can't deal with all of you just give me a moment , I will take my stuff and I will be out of here"
Shou's eyes bulged. A vein pulsed on his forehead. He stomped forward so hard the floor seemed to shake with each step.
"Don't you dare talk back to me like that!" he bellowed. "You think growing a spine overnight makes you a man?
You're nothing! NOTHING! You were a
stray I took in out of pity, and this is
how you repay ME?"
He slammed his fist on the table, dishes rattling, and Elena flinched.
"I'll see to it myself that you're thrown to the streets! Don't bother taking your things you came with nothing, you leave with nothing!"
Seeing such a nonchalant behaviour from Edgar , contrasting to his usual self Shou could guess something is different about him he had spent enough time working with the nobel world ,to sense such a change in dimenor would surely mean something, but he was in too deep now.
" Bold of you to assume all these are yours when you yourself are living from paycheck to paycheck, you think you can keep up all this facade of being a noble now without scholarship money coming"
Shou's face twisted with rage.
Elena stepped forward, panicked, voice brittle:
"Don't say things like that, Edgar.....we were a family there is no I in it"
Edgar cut her off with a glance.
Shou sneered.
"You think you're clever now? How are you going to pay back the money spent on you after getting expelled, and losing your scholarship, who is going to help you,
Certainly not me!"
" Pay of this rented house of yours frist , im just here to take my father's ring then I'd be out of here"
Edgar goes off the stairs toward his room, he could hear noises downstairs, screams and maybe of somthing breaking.
