Chapter 78 - Where's Smiley?

Yang Chen's voice was domineering to the extreme. The moment his words fell, the temperature in the entire private room seemed to drop several degrees.

"Who the hell are you?" Guan Xuefeng's face twisted with anger, shedding his usual refined gentlemanly demeanor as he cursed outright.

"Feng Shao, he's Yang Chen! It's him—he took everything from me. I don't want his life, but I want him to live in regret forever. Break his limbs and leave him begging at the entrance of Moonlight Bar for the rest of his life!" Fang Yue's face was contorted with malice.

Ever since Yang Wei publicly abandoned her at Nevernight City that day, she had lost everything—all because of the man standing before her.

"So you're Yang Chen!" Guan Xuefeng narrowed his eyes slightly.

The moment he finished speaking, a blur shot toward him.

*Slap!*

A hand clamped around his throat, lifting him effortlessly into the air with terrifying strength.

Yang Chen's eyes burned with murderous intent. "Where is my daughter?"

"Let Feng Shao go!"

After a brief moment of shock, the others in the room erupted in fury at the sight of Guan Xuefeng being choked and lifted off the ground.

"Blind them all," Yang Chen said coldly.

*Bang!*

Ma Chao grabbed a liquor bottle and smashed it against the coffee table, leaving only a jagged half in his hand.

In the next second, he vanished.

*Thud!*

When he reappeared, the broken bottle was already buried in one thug's eye.

A blood-curdling scream tore through the room.

The others' hearts pounded wildly at the sight. Ma Chao moved with ruthless efficiency, showing no hesitation.

Fang Yue was petrified, watching as Ma Chao disappeared again, reappearing before each person only to drive the broken bottle into their eyes without mercy.

Within seconds, all four of Guan Xuefeng's underlings—the ones who had watched Qin Yi strip—were left with nothing but bloody holes where their eyes had been.

Soon, the screams died down—not because the pain had lessened, but because they had passed out from the agony.

Qin Yi was also stunned, but as she recalled the humiliation she had endured earlier, her heart gradually hardened.

Though Guan Xuefeng was being strangled and lifted into the air, he saw everything—Ma Chao blinding his four men with terrifying clarity.

Shock and fear flooded his pupils. Who the hell had told him Yang Chen was just a nobody, a live-in son-in-law of the Qin family with no background?

If that were true, how could he and his subordinate be this terrifyingly strong?

*Thump!*

Just as Guan Xuefeng was about to suffocate, Yang Chen casually tossed him aside. His body crashed onto the expensive glass coffee table, shattering it.

"I'm from the Guan family! Do you dare lay a hand on me? Aren't you afraid of the Guan family's retaliation?"

When had Guan Xuefeng ever suffered such grievous injuries? Even knowing his opponent was strong, he refused to back down, his face twisted with malice. "Don't forget—your daughter is still in my hands. Whatever you do to me, I'll do to her!"

Yang Chen's expression darkened to the extreme. "Are you threatening me?"

Guan Xuefeng burst into maniacal laughter. "Now you're scared? Too late! If you don't kneel and beg me right now, you can collect your daughter's corpse! Hahahaha—"

"Still refusing to yield until you see the coffin? Fine. If you won't talk, I'll find her myself." Yang Chen's voice was icy.

As soon as he finished speaking, the sound of synchronized footsteps echoed from outside. A man in military-green camouflage uniform strode into the room.

Upon reaching Yang Chen, he snapped to attention, saluting sharply, his eyes filled with reverence and excitement. "Brother Chen, the men are here. Awaiting your orders!"

"Search every corner. Find a four-year-old girl," Yang Chen commanded.

"Sir!" The burly man responded loudly before turning to leave.

Guan Xuefeng flew into a rage. "Who the hell are you people? How dare you raid my turf?"

But the moment he rushed out of the room, his anger turned to stunned disbelief.

The entire hallway was packed with people—all clad in identical military-green uniforms, armed to the teeth. Under the burly man's orders, they stormed into every private room.

Fang Yue also stumbled out, but at the sight before her, her legs gave way. She collapsed to the floor, trembling with terror.

Yang Chen gave a slight nod, and Ma Chao immediately moved. Grabbing Fang Yue by her permed hair, he dragged her back into the room like a sack of garbage.

Fang Yue wailed in pain, but no one pitied her.

"If he won't talk, then you tell me—where is Xiao Xiao?" Yang Chen loomed over her like a judge passing sentence.

Fang Yue trembled uncontrollably. "Brother-in-law, I—I only brought Xiao Xiao here. I don't know where she was taken after that. Ask Feng Shao! He arranged everything!"

"You saw what happened to those men. If you refuse to talk, don't blame me for being merciless."

Yang Chen pointed at the blinded thugs on the floor, then picked up another liquor bottle. With a sharp *crack*, he smashed it, leaving a jagged edge. He flicked the broken glass toward Fang Yue's face.

"Brother-in-law, no! I really don't know where Xiao Xiao is! Please, for my cousin's sake, spare me this once! I'll never dare again! Please—"

As the broken bottle inched closer to her eyes, Fang Yue begged hysterically. A wet stain spread across her pants as the stench of urine filled the air.

"Your cousin? A beast like you doesn't deserve to call her family! Xiao Xiao is only four years old—how could you betray her like this?"

Yang Chen's fury erupted. He backhanded Fang Yue so hard her head snapped to the side. "Do you know? If it weren't for Qin Xi, I would've erased you from this world long ago! But what did you do? Instead of repenting, you doubled down. Tell me—how can I spare you this time?"

"Brother-in-law, I'm scum! I'm worse than an animal! Please, give me one last chance—I'll never oppose you again!" Fang Yue sensed the killing intent radiating from Yang Chen. She dropped to her knees, trembling violently as she kowtowed.

Yang Chen shook his head. "A dragon has its reverse scales—touch them, and you die. I've forgiven you too many times. This time, death is your only atonement."

"Brother Chen, we've searched the entire Moonlight Bar. No sign of her."

At that moment, the burly man in camouflage returned. After reporting, he glanced disdainfully at the dazed Guan Xuefeng. "Brother Chen, shall we head to the Guan family to demand answers?"

Yang Chen shook his head. "Take this woman away. Make sure she disappears from this world—permanently."

"Understood!" The burly man nodded. With a wave, two soldiers dragged Fang Yue out like a ragdoll.

"Brother-in-law, I was wrong—" Her voice faded into the distance, never to be heard again.

The soldiers withdrew, leaving only Yang Chen, Qin Yi, Ma Chao, and the shell-shocked Guan Xuefeng in the room.

This was the first time Qin Yi had seen Yang Chen's ruthless, domineering side. Her heart raced uncontrollably.

She knew she would never see Fang Yue again—but she felt no pity.

"Xiao Yi, Senba is waiting outside. He'll take you home first," Yang Chen said suddenly.

"Brother-in-law, what about you?" Qin Yi asked worriedly.

Yang Chen smiled faintly. "Xiao Xiao hasn't been found yet. Of course, I'll keep looking."
