Chapter 163 - The Banquet Part 12 (Final)

"Looks like I won the first round. Let's continue with the second round, Momobami Kirari~"

"Yes."

Ignoring the mocking tone in Ren's voice, Kirari, who had calmed down, accepted the coin picked up by Ririka and tossed it high into the air again.

*SWISH!*

This time, Kirari completely abandoned her playful demeanor. Her entire focus was on the rapidly spinning silver coin, a sight almost impossible for ordinary human eyes to analyze accurately.

'The coin soared higher this time, spinning at a slightly different speed. 172 full rotations and an additional ¼ rotation before reaching its apex. The trajectory of its fall was slightly curved due to minimal air resistance.'

'The first bounce was estimated to be 5 cm high, followed by three small, almost imperceptible bounces. Total airtime was 6.1 seconds. And it stopped on the same side as before.'

Completing her complex mental calculations, Kirari finally gave her answer in a tone slightly less confident than before.

"I choose tails."

"In that case, I'll stick with my choice. Heads." Ren said with a thin smile.

*TING!*

The coin fell back onto the polished floor surface, and once again, everything happened exactly as Kirari's calculated predictions foresaw. However, the final result was once again the opposite of what she expected. The top side of the coin showed the image of heads.

"I won again. Next is the final round."

Without the slightest hint of surprise at the outcome, Ren reminded the seemingly dazed Kirari.

"..."

Kirari fell silent. She didn't even ask if there was any cheating or not. She was certain that if Ren had done anything dishonest, Godou would have spoken up without her needing to ask.

Her astonishment was now mixed with a deep sense of curiosity. How could her calculations be wrong twice in a row?

'Am I going to lose?'

Instead of fear or anxiety at the almost certain defeat looming before her, Kirari felt a strange and powerful wave of excitement coursing through her. The sensation felt more intense and satisfying than the peak of any masturbatory climax she had ever experienced.

'All this time, every gamble I've made has ended in victory. I controlled everything, calculated every possibility, and ensured the outcome matched my desires. There was no uncertainty, no real risk. But this... this is different!'

'I can't predict it, I can't control it! Everything is beyond my ability! And this feeling of losing control isn't so bad!'

'This is the essence of true gambling! It's not about winning or losing, but about the thrill of risking everything on the unpredictable!'

*THUMP!* *THUMP!* *THUMP!*

Kirari's heart pounded faster and faster, pumping a stronger flow of blood throughout her body. Her cheeks flushed slightly, and her eyes gleamed with a strange light.

'Hm? What's with this woman? She's getting aroused in this situation? Good grief, the women from the Kakegurui series are truly abnormal. Fortunately, Momobami Ririka looks quite normal and even shy when she's not wearing her mask.'

Ren was truly at a loss for words seeing Kirari's strange reaction.

It wasn't just Ren who noticed the drastic change in Kirari. Godou frowned in confusion, while Erica and Liliana exchanged glances with surprised expressions.

"This is the last one. Let's begin the game that will decide our fates."

*SWISH!*

After saying that, Kirari tossed the 100-yen coin into the air once more.

This time, she no longer tried to calculate its trajectory and spin. She knew that even her perfect calculations had failed twice before. Now, she completely surrendered everything to luck.

"I choose heads."

"In that case, I'll stick with my choice from the beginning. Tails."

*TING!*

The coin fell back onto the cold marble floor surface. And like the previous two rounds, the top side of the motionless coin showed the image of tails.

Victory once again belonged to Ren!

"Sigh... I lost."

Accepting her defeat, Kirari gently pushed Ririka, who was standing beside her, slightly forward.

"Congratulations on your magnificent victory, Ren-sama. From today onwards, all the assets of the Momobami Family are entirely yours. You are free to use them as you please, without any restrictions. And that's not all."

Turning briefly to Ririka with a soft smile, Kirari looked back at Ren.

"My twin sister, Ririka, is also yours. Ririka is a very shy person and a bit awkward in social situations. I implore you to take good care of her."

Ririka raised her head slightly, giving Ren a brief, unreadable look—perhaps a mixture of fear, curiosity, and resignation—before lowering her head deeply again.

"...I will obey everything Ren-sama commands."

"Um, nice to meet you, Momobami Ririka. From now on, you'll be living with me. I hope you can get along with all my women."

Ignoring the playful pinch on his waist from Masha and Alya, who showed a hint of jealousy. Such a small pain was nothing to him, Ren tried to be friendly to the girl who seemed so shy.

His eyes briefly glanced at the four women who possessed the strongest magical energy aura in the entire hall.

'The magical energy of these three is equivalent to Great Knights like Erica and Liliana... Oh well, there's no point in investigating them further. Besides, none of them are my type.'

Ren quickly lost interest in the four women who radiated such strong magical energy. Of course, unbeknownst to him, these four women were the Divine Generals sent by the Onmyou Agency: Dairenji Suzuka, Yuge Mari, Kadei Byakuran, and Kadei Kurogiku.

"Could Ren-sama tell me why I lost? I'm afraid I won't be able to sleep soundly if I don't know the reason. If you don't mind, could you tell me? How could my perfect calculations go so far off?" Kirari asked with an irresistible tone of curiosity.

All the attention of the guests present in the hall was also focused on Ren, curiosity clearly radiating from their eyes.

Being the center of attention didn't disturb Ren's composure in the slightest. He simply shrugged slightly and replied with a single, concise word, "Luck."

Kirari frowned, clearly unsatisfied with such a simple answer.

"Luck? Isn't that just a random excuse you made up, Ren-sama?"

Ren shook his head gently and explained more specifically.

"No, Momobami Kirari. Campiones possess a unique ability to create luck, or rather, control random probabilities, through the sheer power of their will."

"In a game that purely relies on luck, it's almost impossible to defeat us without cheating. After all, the main factor in defeating a god and becoming a Campione is extraordinary luck."

Kirari's eyes widened slightly, shock mixed with admiration.

"I see... everything makes sense now. No wonder Ren-sama chose a coin flip game. You are far more cunning than I thought, Ren-sama."

In her eyes, Ren fit her personal preference for men as partners more than the ordinary high school student-like Godou.

Kirari had already accepted her defeat. Through her investigation, she knew that Ren was not the type of person who would interfere in business management. The man would only enjoy his wealth. Kirari wasn't too worried that Ren would squander all the Momobami Family's assets even in his lifetime.

More than that, the Momobami Family was now in the same position as the Shinomiya Family: having a Campione as a supporter behind them.

In other words, there was no longer any power in Japan that dared to stand in the way of the Momobami Family's ambitions and expansion.

Whether it was victory or defeat, it all benefited the Momobami Family. That was why Kirari had challenged Ren to gamble.
