"Fanny,"
Marie gazed at Tiffany's pallid face, her plump features etched with deep concern.
"Are you really not going to tell Miss Rodriguez about your car accident?"
She knew all too well.
Fanny's father and grandmother had passed away long ago, and her mother had vanished without a trace after remarrying and moving to another city years earlier.
Miss Rodriguez was the only person in her life who could be considered family.
If even Miss Rodriguez wasn't informed, there'd be no one left to care.
At this thought, Marie's kindly face twisted with pity.
This was just too heartbreaking.
Tiffany shook her head, her delicate face ghostly pale, yet her eyes remained clear and steady.
"I'm fine, really.
No need to make Camilla worry over nothing," she said, forcing a faint, apologetic smile at Marie.
"I just hate to trouble you like this."
It was almost laughable, really.
This marked her second hospital stay this year, both due to car accidents.
