Chapter 27 - Sinners rise

POV ???

I was back in the factory, with all of my friends, all of them were helping me create toys for the children.

I felt happy here, there was no pain, no lies, and no loneliness. It was me, my friends, and even the toys.

Bones was laying on my lap, wagging his tail as I pet him. He always loved it when I scratched the back of his ears.

Soon, the door opened, and I saw that it was Bucky. He wore his usual smile, even when things were tough, he always smiled.

"Eve, Eve, Bucky has a letter for you!" He said and showed me a letter, as I opened it, I saw that it was an invitation from the Chief of the MBCC.

I smiled as I read the letter, and placed it on my desk. "Bucky, can you tell the others that I'll be gone?"

"Yes, yes, Bucky will tell the others!" He soon ran away, screaming out loud how I would be leaving early for the day.

I couldn't help but giggle at his reaction, and I had one of the toys push me out, along the way, I greeted the employees working around the factory.

All of them smiled as I gave them a small wave, and we soon arrived at the entrance, where a car was waiting for me.

"Greeting Eves, it seems that business is going smoothly." Said the driver, opening the door for me.

"Yes, things have been easier for us since the chief was able to clear out the mania around the factory." The toy soon carried me inside, and took my wheel chair in the trunk, while also entering the trunk itself.

Once everything was all set, the driver turned on the car and began to drive towards the MBCC.

I smiled as I saw that the sky was clear, no clouds could be seen, and the blue sky was something I began to like.

It was a perfect day, one that I wished that could last for ever. But even I know that would be a lie.

"It doesn't have to end." I looked around where I was, yet I found no one, just me and the driver.

"Sir, did you say something?" The driver only looked at me through the rear view mirror, looking at me with confusion.

"No, are you alright?" I only smiled and nodded my head gently.

"Yes, I'm fine, I'm just a little exhausted from yesterday, bone was acting like a puppy all over again." I smiled with nostalgia, remembering how bones acted in the past

"You best be careful then, you wouldn't want to end up like chief, would you now?" I hid my smile and let out a giggle, I could already see him with dark circles under his eyes, yet he still had the same gentle smile when he spoke to me.

"No promises, I am the head of the Buonanotte family, and the sole owner of the Buonanotte factory as well." After a few more minutes of talking, we had soon arrived at the MBCC.

And waiting for me was the chief himself, not Nightingale, not Hella, and especially not Hecate.

As soon as we stopped in front of him he made his way to where I was and opened the door for me, while the driver placed my wheel chair next to him.

The chief, no, my beloved scooped me in his arms, gently placing me on the chair and soon began to push me inside.

"Eros, it is wonderful to see you." I smiled and place both of my hands on my lap.

"It's good to see you too." He then reached into his jacket and

As soon as he pulled his hand back, I saw two small figures. Both of them had their hands connected, and I saw that it was a small version of him and I.

"I had the chance to learn wood carving, and I was able to make this." He then placed the two figurines in my hands, I only stared at it with a smile and held it close to my chest.

'You were right mother, the princess does end up with her prince.' I silently thanked my mother and the two of us entered the base.

Yet as we walked inside, I didn't realize it was all a dream, the chef that was pushing me, was a wooden puppet that looked like him.

In fact, everyone was a puppet, threads soon made their way up, where hundreds of hands, with mouths in the center of each one.

All acting as the person they controlled, yet I never knew about it. I only smiled and was pushed forward in this world of make believe.

POV EROS

Things were now bad, and I mean truly bad. I had thought we would be able to force our way through the horde of toys.

Yet it was the opposite of what I had expected, it seemed that the bear had also joined the fight, pushing all of us back.

While the puppets began to act as medics, using their threads to stitch up the dolls and wolves, while at the same time creating large amalgamations.

Multiple dolls, and wolves were stitched to create a bigger doll, with multiple limbs swinging its arms and its multiple legs stomping on the ground.

"Oh come on, that's beyond messed up!" Hella complained while dodging a stab from a doll.

She then stepped on its hand to disarm it, and swept its legs. Once the doll was on the ground, she quickly grabbed the knife and stabbed it in the chest, twisting it to make sure it stayed dead.

"Well, it's not as bad as looking at this sculptures." Hella then shivered and blocked an overhead swing from another doll.

She then reeled her leg back, and slammed it in between the legs of the doll, which widened its eyes and mouth.

It soon fell on its side, gripping its crotch like a man getting his precious heels getting kicked. This caused both me, Che, and every male doll to unconsciously to do the same.

"Huh, even as a toy they still feel the pain, who knew." Hella smiled and soon kicked it on its back and began to stomp on its crotch, over and over again.

And for a minute, I thought I saw a tear form in its glossy eye, and stared at me with plea to stop her.

But it soon disappeared as its head was shattered by a foot, and Hella cackled like a madman who brought a corps back to life.

"Huh, must've been my imagination." I said out loud but then recalled where I was and raised my pistol, firing at a few dolls right on the head.

"Damn chief, guess those times with Langley weren't dates." K.K commented on my skills.

"Well, it was either this, or sparring with Zoya." I then ducked down avoiding what looked like a pair of scissors.

Looking above, I saw a female doll carrying it with both hands with ease. It giggled as it looked down towards me, and raised the scissors high, with the blades closed and the tip aimed to my face.

But before it could lower it, I was quick to aim at the weapon itself, knocking it back just enough for it to miss me.

The tip slammed a few inches away from my legs, and I stared at it with disgust before firing at its head.

"I already deal with one scissor user, I don't want to deal with a second one." I said and removed the now empty mag, and swapping it for a full one.

"Hecate!" I shouted while firing at more dolls who tried to swarm me, only for me to be pulled back by nothing.

Once I was brought to Hecate's side, she began to fire multiple orbs of her delusions, causing the dolls to stiffen and attack one another.

"Thank you." I said and soon began to fire at the dolls once again, to my left was Crache, who was bleeding from her nose, already pushing herself from using the shadows too much.

She looked pale, and looked like she was about to faint at any second. Yet I placed my hand, letting the mania flow through her, healing her from the mental strain.

"Falp back, don't push yourself." I told her and pulled her away to avoid a wolf's jaw that was about to bite her leg.

"I can… keep going!" A spike soon shot out of her hood, piercing the wolf's eye and sticking out on the other side.

"You can't, if you keep pushing yourself, you'll do more damage than good." I pulled her again and rolled, avoiding a few threads that stuck to the floor.

Seeing us dodge, Hecate had Nightmare fly towards them, however, we weren't inside the hollow, so we couldn't see it.

In the end, two large handprints could be seen on their backs, pushing them inside the wall.

Yet a few more puppets soon jumped onto the invisible Nightmare, slamming their fists against it, and tying it.

Soon, the puppets fell out of the air, and Hecate gasped and stiffened, her nose soon began to bleed, and she fainted on the spot.

The cause of this, is because Nightmare is a part of Hecate's subconscious, so whenever Nightmare is dealt enough damage, it breaks, causing a sever mental backlash towards Hecate.

"Pull back, everyone pull back!" I shouted and throw both Hecate and Crache over my shoulder, and ran towards the nearest building.

As soon as we all entered, Che, K.K, and Hecate began to board up the door and windows with some furniture, blocking any entry that they could force their way through.

They began to pound their fists against it, some even tried to slam their bodies, yet they all stood their ground.

"Chief, I'm not gonna super coat it, we are done for if we don't think of something." K.K grunted while holding a large shelf up against the door.

"I don't think we have that privilege at the moment!" Che shouted while stabbing a few of the toys that were reaching inside.

I began to think of a plan, not only to get us out, but to defeat the monster that has Eve contained.

Yet all of the plans ended in failure, I didn't know what to do. However, one idea soon came into mind, one that would give us a chance to fight back.

"I may have an Idea." I said slowly, and hesitation was written on my face.

"Well, we're all ears, so take your time and enjoy the smell of the roses!" Hella sarcastically commented, an arm so reached inside, but Hella chomped on it with her bare teeth.

She then pulled her head back as hard as she could, soon, she was able to tear out the arm of the toy with ease, and she soon spat out pieces of wood.

"Damnit, I'm gong to feel this later." She said while removing any wood that stayed in her mouth.

I couldn't help but chuckle at what she had done, but the bright mood soon turned dark as we heard another wave of fists hitting, and dolls trying to force their way inside.

Soon, I turned my attention on healing both Hecate and Crache, easing their pain and letting them rest from the fight they went through.

"As I was saying, our best chance to survey and save Eve, is if I use 'that'." I said slowly, and stayed silent to gauge their reactions.

Both Che, and Hella looked at me with shock, while K.K herself only glanced at me, but she soon focused on holding the shelf in place.

"Chief, maybe we can pin that for later, and actually come up with an actually plan?!" Hella said, only to tilt her head to the side to avoid a knife, which was close to scratching her face.

"Any ideas would require one of you to stay behind, and I'm not going to do that." I said and soon raised my gun, firing at the doll that was close to forcing its way inside.

"But you know what happens afterwards, I don't want to feel sore!" Che protested at first, but a knife soon flew past him, and soon imbedded itself on the wall behind him.

"Do it, I don't care if I have to break a bone or two, just get us out of this mess!" K.K said and grabbed a wolfs head, twisting it violently until its head was facing upwards.

Che and Hella wanted to keep arguing, but when they saw that the furniture was slowly breaking, they only gritted their teeth and turned towards me.

"Do it!" They said in unison, barely holding the furniture together.

I placed both Hecate and Crache on the floor and pulled out my W-engine, I stared at the metal that reflected the light.

Through the cracks, I could see the faint red glow, but before I did anything, I pulled out my phone to contact Wise, and Belle.

"Oh, wow, calling your girlfriend at a time like this?! What are you gonna say, oh, I'm sorry my love, but I won't make it!" I only looked at her with confusion, but I shook my head and called her.

[So everything I did for you was meant for nothing? My heart, you hurt me so, my dear chief. Kidding!]

It didn't take her long to answer, and as she spoke, I could hear the panic in her voice.

"Eros, please tell me you guys aren't there, please." I could hear her voice breaking slightly, but I smiled, knowing she was worried.

"Well, not in a good position to tell a lie." I said and soon dove to the side, avoiding a few threads that stuck to the ground, yanking off the floor boards and pulling them out.

"I need you or Wise to get as close as you can, and use fairy to track us so you can pick us up." I heard Belle holding back a sob, yet she agreed nonetheless.

"Y-You owe me big time." Was the last thing she said before ending the call, I soon placed my phone back in my pocket and stood up.

My focus then returned to the ball in my hand, I didn't waste any time, and opened it, causing the mania that was in the air to be sucked inside the crystal.

I could hear multiple voices invading my mind, all telling me to let the sinners run free, let them cause chaos in this city.

To let someone else deal with the problem, yet I pushed it all away. Instead, I raised my hand forward and activated the shackles.

My had shot out five streaks of lightning, which began to flow around me like snakes that were circling prey, but then soon shot towards all of the sinners in the room.

It dug into their chest, back, or neck, causing the shackles to glow brighter than before.

When the lighting piercing both Crache and Hecate, their body arched upward, as if being lifted by something.

The mania within them began to rise to a dangerous degree, causing the ground to crack, and the air to turn heavy.

"You were seen as monsters, ridiculed, feared, and isolated, yet I offer my hand, stand to fight for the innocent, stand to fight the ones who fear you, protect them, show them you are more than just monsters." As my words floated through the air, they began to grit their teeth.

The feeling of the mania increasing within their body was causing them immense pain, yet they didn't scream, they didn't shout, they only kept silent,

"Fight off the true monsters, if you can't run, walk, if you can't walk, crawl, if you cannot crawl, drag your entire body if you have to!" I began to shout, the air began to spin, surrounding me as I spoke.

"Do not stop, not until you bleed your last drop of blood, until you breathe your last breath, fight until the end!" The furniture in their hands soon dropped, and the toys soon began to are their way through.

Knives, hands, jaws, claws, they all reached for them. Yet then stood their, their faces covered by a shadow, with their bodies were covered by the red shackles.

"Fight until the last stand!" I commanded, and the mania soon pulsed, their bodies going stiff at my order.

POV 3RD

The building they were in was swarmed with multiple toys, they were slowly causing a large pile, and some were about to climb on the second floor.

Yet, they went stiff, they didn't move, they didn't make noise, they remained still.

After what felt like an eternity, the wall that they were climbing on was destroyed, what caused the destruction, was a large shadow hand, pushing the toys back.

Some were crushed, others shattered from the force. While the lucky few were unharmed, the large teddy bear itself wasn't so lucky.

It crossed its arms to protect itself, and slid a few feet back as soon as the wall slammed into it.

As soon as it shoved the wall to the side, it saw the large shadow hand pulling back into a large dust cloud.

It became cautious when it felt multiple pillars of mania that was within the cloud, the cloud soon began to spin, slowly getting taller and taller.

And what came out of it, was Eros, but instead of the warm and smiling man, al that could be seen was a cold and indifferent look.

"You.. you cheater!" The bear roared and sent the crocodile towards Eros, who stood where he was.

The air pushed his hair, and made his trench coat fluttered behind him from the gust of wind, yet he didn't show any fear.

The toy was already a in front of him, its mouth wide open to bite down on the chief.

"Crache, deal with it." Was all he said, and from the dust cloud came a large shadow hand, it raised high in the air before coming down and destroying the toy with one blow.

The shards of plastic and metal flew to the sides, yet they never touched Eros. The bear cried in pain and loss of the crocodile, and soon ran towards me.

"I kill you, you no bully, just a mean adult, and mean adults like you should die!" It roared and raised its only arm, while at the same time, running towards him.

"K.K, Che, Hella." Three figures ran out of the dust cloud, and soon passed the monster with ease.

Yet when the three figures stopped behind it, two holes were formed, while its arm fell to the ground.

Its eyes widened in confusion and fear, it then looked down and saw the holes on its chest, and stomach, and then turned to look at its arm that was now lying on the ground.

Seeing this, it wanted to run away, it wanted to shout, cry, anything, but it turned its head towards the sinners.

Their backs were facing it, and their bodies twitched every second, yet something was off.

They didn't talk, they didn't make noise, they just stood there. With mania pouring out of their bodies and causing the air to become heavy.

"Hecate, finish it." Was all the bear heard before seeing the world spinning before its eyes.

It soon realized its head was severed from its body. There was no sound, no pain, no nothing.

Its head soon landed on the ground, bouncing a few times before stopping, and its eyes soon landed on its very own body.

It could see Eros climbing on it, making its way to its heart. It wanted to scream, to shout at him to stay away, yet it couldn't do anything.

All it could do was watch as Eros stood over its chest and it then saw him plunge both arms inside, pushing the multiple toys to the side.

Soon, Eros pulled out the source of its life. The girl was limp, yet she dawned a gentle smile.

The girls white hair flowed to the side, draping over Eros's arm. Her arms were on her lap, and her head was gently resting against his chest.

He then turned his back towards it, walking away with the girl on his arms. While the sinners soon stood by his side.

But before he left, he glanced back towards the head. His eyes were cold as they made contact with the bear.

"Hecate, have Nightmare kill it." The bear soon felt its head was pushed to face up, and it saw what looked like a monster.

In its mouth, was a large eye, with its pupil dilating. Once the high pitch screams stopped, the pupil shrunk, and all it could see was a purple light, before its vision went dark.

And it only had one thought that ran through its mind as it faded away.

'Monster.'

[Whooo, now that's some good story telling, better than the last one mind you, anyways, send those power stones to show support, Bye, Bye!]
