Chapter 114 - Chapter N - Her

ㅤㅤHer blue eyes darted back and forth from the screens. At least six in front of her, all of different angles, but they weren't normal monitors. Made from white metal, flat screens, or perhaps it was a type of hearty plastic. The entirety of the room was white as well. Including the wheeled chair she sat on and pushed around in, plus her labcoat.

ㅤㅤShe was chewing on her left thumbnail, her other arm crossed over her chest. Her pale skin was illuminated by the screens, her short and curly black hair kept away on one side by a bobby pin. She squinted, watching as that man on the screen was picking up his queen. Her brother - she knew who he was easily in the past few months - was helping the ginger witch with her unconscious girlfriend.

ㅤㅤOne could tell the woman sitting there, watching this all as if from security cameras, was disappointed and worried. This wasn't it... She had been hoping this would have been the time, the place, but there he was still. Shaking her head as the individuals all gathered

their broken entourage and left the scene, she finally got to her feet and turned around.

ㅤㅤThere she stood. A woman with slightly curly ginger hair. Not the one on the screen - that was evident by her shining purple eyes. She seemed to have a strange purple glow of spectral energy forming her left arm. A white button up shirt was over her torso and pale blue jeans were on her legs, and it all led to black combat boots on her feet. Standing in the doorway, her real arm crossed with the strange one, she stared at the girl in the labcoat.

ㅤㅤ"You need rest," The ginger said, in a sharp French accent.

ㅤㅤ"I need answers," Was the girl's reply.

ㅤㅤ"You won't get them like this," She said softly.

ㅤㅤThe girl seemed emotionless as she asked, "Then what am I supposed to do?"

ㅤㅤThe woman seemed to only frown, looking down at the ground. Her eyes were such a beautiful glowing violet. Then, she raised her gaze and stood up fully. A meer inch taller than the other girl, she strode forward with a strange silence from one of her feet, and stopped in front of her. She reached out and placed her real hand on her shoulder with a light squeeze.

ㅤㅤ"Wait."

ㅤㅤShe said it so simply, that it almost sounded easy. The girl knew better. She stared at her for a moment, then turned to face the monitors once more. There he was, the fiery red haired man, strutting out of the warehouse for the second time with a peaceful unconscious queen in his arms. It was like deja vu - like when she had seen him do this the first time he died.

ㅤㅤ"C'mon." The woman said.

ㅤㅤThe girl looked up at her, then back one last time at the monitors. Her cold spectral hand wrapped around hers, but the grip was soft. They both strode towards the door together, and the girl's blue eyes were stuck on the floor. She was right - she needed rest, because she was exhausted. If something happened, they would get her up. Besides, here or in a bed, there was only one thing she could do anyway.

ㅤㅤWait.
