"Jea, do you remember who called us and informed us that Bamson was in the hostel?"
They were all sitting together after lunch, talking and deciding where they should go next. Minji had always been Jeon.J's best friend, but she also had a good understanding with everyone else. Jeon.J just listened to everyone. During this conversation, Jeon.J suddenly asked Jea.
Jea, who was on his way out of the room, stopped when he heard Jeon.J's voice. He turned back and looked at Jeon.J with a confused expression.
"I don't remember the name," Jea said while trying to recall, "but whoever she was, she was quite rude."
"She was rude, you remember that, but you don't remember her name," Minji said to Jea, grinding her teeth.
Jea scratched his ear, smiled lightly, and turned again, ready to leave immediately.
"Jeon.J, do you remember she was saying something else too?" Jea said while walking away."Something on which you laughed… and because of that one thing, you laughed after Bamson's missing ."
Jea turned back once more while leaving.
"What exactly did she say that made Jeon.J laugh?" Minji asked, feeling jealous from inside, because she already knew who had given the information.
Jea laughed and said, "Everyone will start listening,
she said 'Come and take my friend's nephew. I've already fed him two packs of my favorite biscuits and snacks, too."
Everyone burst out laughing at once.
"Nephew?" Minjo said, laughing.
"Her friend's nephew?" Kim Joon asked in a confused manner.
"That's what Zoya used to say just to tease us....."She stopped while speaking, completed her line slowly, with pauses, and looked at Minji.
"Zoya…?" Hana asked Minji.
Minji nodded yes.
Hana was shocked.Ruhi was shocked just like Hana.Sophia was shocked too, because except for Minji, these three didn't know that Zoya had given the information.
Minji closed her eyes, trying to control her confusing, unexplainable feelings, and then looked toward Jeon.J.
At Hana's words, Jeon.J stopped.
Everyone went silent.
"Zoya… meaning?" Yomin asked.
"Zoya was the one who called and gave the information about Bamson," Minji said, because now there was no use hiding it anymore. Half of the truth was already out—what was the point of hiding the rest?
"Zoya called… meaning Bamson was with Zoya?"
Bamson with us, Ruhi said, cutting Jinhun off mid-sentence.
"Bamson was with you people?" Kim Joon said seriously. "Are you serious?"
Looking at him, Minji started explaining everything from the beginning to the end. Everyone was listening to her, but Jeon.J had no interest in the details of this story. He only wanted answers to two questions. One had already been answered. One remained.
"But Minji, you could have called," Kim Joon said. "We would have been so worried. You know we couldn't even focus on the concert because Jeon.J was extremely disturbed. We were worried too. But toward ARMY, it's our responsibility that during their time, we don't bring our personal tensions. Whatever it was, at an international level, ARMY fully supported us during the concert."
"I didn't have anyone's number," Minji said quietly.
"Leave all these things," Yomin said, ending the discussion. "Bamson is fine, and he's with us. That's what matters."
Jeon.J, drawing lines on the floor with his foot, asked Minji,"How did you know I was in Busan?"
Jeon.J had asked the same question the previous evening while standing in Minji's garden, but he hadn't gotten an answer then. Today, he wanted to know.
Minji looked at Jeon.J. He was still drawing lines on the floor.
"Zoya told us," Sophia said simply. "She said she was on the flight, and I think Jeon.J came on the same one because that was the last flight of the day. All the other flights were cancelled because of the snow."
But as soon as Sophia finished speaking, Jeon.J's hand froze.
Because he had just gotten the answer to his second question.
And yet, there was still confusion.
According to Jea, the seat behind him was occupied by a Korean girl.
But Jeon.J already knew—
Who would give him the final answer?
