The car was silent.
Andrew gripped the wheel as they sat parked at the cliff's edge, the city glittering below like a spilled constellation. Beside him, Julio leaned back, arms crossed, face unreadable.
This guy was lying. He knew Julio was dead. He had heard everything, especially the rumours from the criminals about how he had been murdered.
For a moment, he glanced at the man beside him who sat like he was not bothered.
He was a liar. He had to be.
Their ragged breathing lingered in the air.
Mostly Andrew's. Like they were doing a breath play competition.
Andrew finally broke the silence.
"I'm tired of the games," He said without looking at him. "I need to know who you really are."
Julio let out a low chuckle.
"I already told you." He said, the glint in his eyes surreal.
Andrew's jaw twitched.
"No, you didn't. You lied." He accused. He wanted to be right. He wanted this man to be a liar but even more dilemma was the fact that he wanted it to be true.
