Luffy led the enthusiastic chanting while Usopp, Chopper, Jean Bart, and Shachi eagerly joined in, their noisy celebration giving everyone a headache.
Fortunately, Bepo obediently lay on the deck and wasn't swept up in their excitement, otherwise Carl might have had to discipline him. Bepo, the valuable crew member, was being developed to match Jack's strength—one of Kaido's three disasters—requiring careful guidance.
Though Jack wasn't known for his stability, Bepo wasn't Jack.
As long as Bepo could develop combat abilities comparable to Jack's while maintaining a calmer temperament, he could become one of the Straw Hats' pillars.
Among the entire Straw Hat crew, Carl had the highest expectations for Zoro and Bepo. As for Sanji, his weakness for beautiful women often led him astray, meaning he still needed some tough discipline.
Before anyone could react, Luffy had already rushed onto the island with his four eager companions.
The others ignored Luffy's group and quietly observed the Boing Islands.
"Is this... a flower?" Nami asked, her face filled with curiosity.
"Mr. Carl mentioned it's a carnivorous plant that uses delicious food as bait for hunting, but it doesn't look particularly threatening," Tashigi commented, glancing around nervously.
"Oh, a carnivorous plant? My first time seeing one. I wonder if we'll end up being eaten," Robin casually remarked with her characteristically dark humor.
The others showed minimal reaction.
Zoro yawned, eager to nap, showing little interest in exploring the island.
Marie continued munching on her biscuits, seemingly never able to finish them.
Sanji sniffed the air, clearly detecting something enticing. Naturally, he was curious about the food growing on this mysterious island.
"Enough talk—we'll learn more once we explore," Carl said, stepping onto the island first.
The others followed suit, including Law and his two companions. The task of guarding the ships fell to Momo and the other medical staff from the Heart Pirates.
Meanwhile, Luffy's group of four humans and one reindeer raced toward the island's interior, shouting excitedly.
The aroma of delicious food wafted through the air from nowhere, causing the five adventurers' stomachs to growl as they struggled to contain their drool.
"Wow! It smells incredible!"
"Luffy, look! A ramen waterfall!"
"There are sausage fruits, chicken drumsticks, and corn too! They're actually growing food, and it smells amazing. Are these really safe to—hey, you're already eating them?!"
Luffy and Chopper were frantically stuffing food into their mouths.
They couldn't stop themselves, grabbing and devouring everything within reach, quickly clearing out large patches of food before moving to new areas.
Usopp, Jean Bart, and Shachi couldn't resist the temptation either, soon joining in the frenzied feast. The food seemed endless, delighting the five gluttons.
"Wow! This is delicious!"
"Oops! Can't stop! I need to keep eating!"
"Shishishi! I can finally eat without holding back! This truly is a fantasy island! I'm so happy!"
Before long, all five had ballooned into rotund figures, barely able to move. Yet they continued eating, seemingly addicted to the food.
At that moment, a man wearing a black hercules beetle costume suddenly appeared.
Seeing the five still eating despite their enormous size, he looked startled and quickly warned them: "My friends, stop eating immediately! It's extremely dangerous! By the way, I am Heracles'n!"
"I'm Luffy! Sorry! What's dangerous?" Luffy replied, his cheeks now chubby but still remembering his manners.
Heracles'n quickly explained: "This island uses delicious food to lure beasts. When they become too fat to escape, the island devours them. You must exercise immediately to burn these excess calories, or you'll be in grave danger! Also, I am Heracles'n, warrior of the forest!"
"Oh, I see. Thank you for the warning."
Luffy and the others politely expressed their gratitude but couldn't stop eating.
Heracles'n felt helpless—he could offer advice, but he couldn't force them to heed it.
Just then, Carl and the others arrived, shocked to see the five formerly slim pirates now transformed into bulging spheres.
Heracles'n immediately addressed them: "Hello everyone! Are these your companions? Please make them run quickly—they'll be in serious danger if they remain this size! By the way, I am Heracles'n!"
"Oh, hello Heracles'n... we're the Straw Hat Pirates."
Carl greeted the beetle warrior with a smile, boldly introducing the Heart Pirates as part of the Straw Hat crew.
Law and his companions didn't object, too busy surveying their surroundings with amazement, inhaling the tantalizing aromas that tempted them to join the feast. However, the warning from Heracles'n gave them pause.
"These idiots! They've ballooned so quickly!" Zoro couldn't help cursing.
"My, the food does smell delicious. I'm getting rather hungry myself," Robin commented with a smile, though she refrained from rashly sampling anything.
"Mr. Carl, these biscuit leaves are delicious," Marie remarked, already having picked several and begun munching on them.
"You guys..." Nami said helplessly, firmly holding onto Bepo to keep him still.
She recognized the danger was real, since both Carl and the local beetle warrior had issued the same warning. Better safe than sorry—she restrained Bepo to prevent him from succumbing to gluttony, knowing she might need to ride him to escape if danger arose.
Sanji frowned, uncomfortable with a place where prepared food grew naturally.
If ingredients didn't require processing and meals appeared ready-made, wouldn't chefs like himself become obsolete?
But the aroma was truly irresistible!
Unable to resist, Sanji plucked a sausage fruit and took a bite. His eyes immediately lit up. Then, remembering what happened to the others, he dramatically collapsed to the ground, a dark cloud hanging over him.
"Hey, what's wrong with you, perverted cook?" Zoro asked curiously.
"Damn it! This sausage fruit is so delicious—it's nearly as good as what I can make!" Sanji lamented, experiencing an existential crisis.
If one lived in a place like this, there'd be no need for chefs—this island was the ultimate chef!
Nearby, Law watched with exasperation as Penguin, Shachi, and Jean Bart were already eating. The three had sneaked food while he wasn't paying attention, and now couldn't stop themselves from stuffing more into their mouths.
"Hey! Stop eating, you guys!"
Law reprimanded them loudly, but his crew ignored him.
"Captain, it's too delicious—we can't control our hands or mouths!"
"Captain, you should try some too—it's genuinely incredible!"
