Akainu was now facing two Yonko alone. Moreover, the sheer size of these two sea kings was absolutely terrifying. Compared to them, Akainu looked incomparably small; the difference was enormous. In terms of raw power, the three of them were originally on roughly the same level. Akainu could easily handle a one-on-one battle, but facing two monsters at once was an entirely different matter.
What made it worse was that Akainu was already seriously injured. Above all, Elior was watching from a distance. That alone was enough to instill despair. The moment Elior joined the battle, Akainu would be one step away from death. Even now, Akainu's condition was extremely unstable.
Big Mom swung Napoleon, unleashing massive slashes that shredded the ice. At the same time, she released flames and thunder, relentlessly bombarding Akainu. Kaido exhaled scorching heat and fireballs, wielded his kanabo, and unleashed devastating techniques such as Thunder Bagua, striking again and again. The barrage of attacks was dazzling and utterly horrifying. No matter how strong Akainu was, two fists could not overcome four hands. At first, he managed to endure it.
But after just a few minutes, his body finally reached its limit. Kaido was the first to strike, smashing Akainu in the back with his kanabo and sending him flying. Before Akainu could recover, Big Mom's fist, larger than a sandbag, slammed directly into his abdomen.
"Puff!"
Akainu vomited blood uncontrollably, spraying it in several bursts. The wound on his chest tore open once more. Blood gushed out violently, and his internal organs were briefly exposed. It was a shocking sight. The intense pain felt as if it were tearing Akainu's body apart.
"Aaaah!"
Akainu roared, not purely from pain, but from overwhelming rage. Those who witnessed the scene felt their scalps go numb. When two Yonko join forces, even Whitebeard would have to kneel! But not everyone was like Elior, one of the Four Yonko. This scene was simply too terrifying.
"Akainu, go to hell!"
Kaido shouted as he swung his kanabo down once more, striking with lethal intent. It wasn't that Kaido couldn't use Armament Haki, nor that he had forgotten. After all, Akainu could still use Logia intangibility. Rather, Kaido deliberately chose not to. He wanted to torture Akainu, to continuously smash him into magma, to savor his despair. There was no denying it: Kaido's twisted taste was on full display. The thrill of brutally humiliating the Fleet Admiral of the Navy was intoxicating.
Big Mom, on the other hand, was different. She lacked Kaido's sadism, but her attacks were no less deadly. Napoleon was constantly coated in Armament Haki, and every punch she threw carried overwhelming force, ensuring Akainu fully enjoyed every blow. Akainu roared furiously as scorching steam erupted from his body. Lava surged upward from beneath the shattered ice. His injuries multiplied rapidly, and his fury reached its absolute limit.
"I'll kill you! Pirates! Damn you all!"
His voice echoed like a ghost's wail, sending chills down everyone's spine.
But the more frenzied Akainu became, the more excited Kaido and Big Mom grew. It was as if they had returned to decades ago, back when they fought side by side under Rocks, conquering the New World and striking fear into countless Marines. If anything, they were now even more brutal and even stronger. The angrier Akainu became, the more exhilarated the two Yonko felt. It was like crushing flowers with thorn-covered hands, reveling in that twisted pleasure.
"We won't die. You're the one who's dying," Big Mom mocked him, releasing her signature eerie laugh.
"Akainu, how pathetic! We've already won!" Kaido added, deliberately provoking him further.
The bloody torture continued. Tsuru rushed forward. She was immediately blasted back by Elior, who stopped her with a single punch. Filled with grief and rage, Tsuru tried to charge again. Watching Akainu being beaten so brutally, how could she stand by? The same was true for the other Marines. But under Elior's pressure, none of them could advance.
"Akainu will die today. Old woman, go home, wash up, and get some sleep," Elior sneered as he swept Tsuru away with a powerful kick. He wasn't worried about killing her; he had deliberately kicked her toward Gion. Tsuru was sent flying uncontrollably before being caught by Gion. Elior wanted Gion to understand that he had spared Tsuru this time, but he wouldn't tolerate repeated interference. This was a warning. Next time, she would be torn apart.
Gion, who understood Elior better than anyone, quickly restrained Tsuru when she tried to rush forward again. Elsewhere, Fujitora, attempting to rescue Akainu, was stopped by Redfield. Midway through the battle, Fujitora had slain Sasaki of the Tobiroppo, but against Redfield, he could not secure a kill. They were locked in a stalemate, unable to advance. Kizaru fired a beam of light, but it was shattered by King's kick.
There were simply too few strong fighters left at Marineford. It was a scene of utter despair. The Marines could only watch as their Fleet Admiral was brutally tortured, unable to intervene and unable even to get close. Akainu was now drenched in blood, barely recognizable, like a man crawling out of hell. His movements slowed. His strength faded. The ice beneath him had completely turned into magma.
Kaido roared in excitement. Akainu was one strike away from death.
"Linlin! It's time! Our strongest attack!" Kaido shouted.
"Of course!" Big Mom responded without hesitation.
In an instant, the heavens changed. Thunder roared, lightning danced, and storm clouds churned violently.
"Meteor Volcano!" Akainu screamed hysterically as his fists transformed into magma, launching countless lava fists into the sky.
But as lightning tore the heavens apart, Kaido and Big Mom burst through the barrage, closing in on Akainu instantly. Kaido's kanabo and Big Mom's sword Napoleon struck down simultaneously.
"Supreme Thunder Bagua!"
"Ikoku Sovereignty!"
BOOM! A deafening explosion tore through the sky, ripping the clouds apart and forming a massive chasm. Those who looked up felt like ants before a god. The shattered ice field within a one-kilometer radius exploded again, disintegrating completely. Countless ice fragments were hurled into the air like a raging sandstorm. Lightning spread outward from Akainu's position, tearing through everything. The shockwave surged like a tsunami, sweeping all before it.
A head flew into the sky. It was Akainu's head. Under the combined might of Big Mom and Kaido, Akainu's body, never meant to endure such power, was utterly destroyed. That overwhelming force exceeded anything he could withstand in his condition. His body exploded on the spot. Only his head and a fragment of his feet remained. And even that was fleeting. Admiral Akainu died a horrific death.
