The Devil Fruit Encyclopedia that Judge had once given Elior was only a little over five centimeters thick — barely more than a slim manual.
However, the one Elior held in his hand now was noticeably larger — at least a full centimeter thicker, about ten centimeters in total.
This wasn't because of thicker paper.
After skimming through it, Elior immediately noticed something unusual: it listed Devil Fruits that Judge's book had never mentioned.
For instance, among the Paramecia-type fruits, there were entries for the Domain-Domain Fruit, the Life-LIfe Fruit, the Soul-Soul Fruit, and many more.
In short, there were numerous fruits that had never appeared in Judge's edition.
Even the descriptions were far more detailed — not just their names and powers, but also the awakened forms of each ability.
For example, the Life-Life Fruit, once awakened, could extend its user's lifespan by at least a thousand years.
As for the Op-Op Fruit that could perform the "Immortality Surgery", Elior learned that it wasn't true immortality at all — only an extended life span of around two hundred years.
Moreover, the operation could only be performed once per person, and the user themselves would pay the ultimate price after performing it.
And most importantly — the Immortality Surgery could only be used once the fruit had awakened.
"So, the results of that surgery weren't as miraculous as I thought…"
Elior frowned thoughtfully.
He recalled that Time-Time Fruit, had not been included in Judge's old book. But this encyclopedia did contain an entry for it — and, surprisingly, the next page detailed the Time-Time Fruit.
According to the record, Toki's ability allowed her to travel only forward through time, never backward — an ability seemingly useless since the future remained unknown.
However, this new book revealed that the Time-Time Fruit, once awakened, could indeed allow its user to move through the past. Even before awakening, it could manipulate local time, creating temporal fields where time flowed faster or slower.
"So, perhaps Toki was simply too weak — she never learned to develop her fruit fully."
Elior closed the book with a grin.
"This might just be the most complete Devil Fruit Encyclopedia in the world."
He pocketed it without hesitation. For him, taking something so small was effortless — yet its value was immeasurable.
Afterward, Elior explored the remaining treasure vaults, confirming that each one had already been emptied of anything important.
Even so, he still hadn't found the eternal Log Pose he was searching for.
Just as he prepared to leave, something caught his eye — a palm-shaped depression on the golden wall.
It didn't look like damage from impact; rather, it resembled a mechanism trigger.
"So, there's a secret entrance here…"
Elior pressed his palm against it — nothing happened.
Then, realization struck him.
"Maybe it only responds to a Celestial Dragon's handprint."
Five minutes later, Elior returned with the severed right arm of an elderly Celestial Dragon he had just slain.
He pressed the lifeless hand against the wall.
Instantly, the entire wall rumbled and split open, revealing a hidden chamber.
Inside was a beautifully crafted device that looked ancient yet flawlessly preserved — a permanent Log Pose made of gold, jade, and precious gemstones.
"This must be it…"
Elior picked it up. Unlike ordinary Log Poses in the New World, which had three needles, this one had five.
"Five needles… unlike any I've ever seen."
He studied it for a moment longer, then slipped it into his coat pocket.
If his guess was right, this was the eternal Log Pose to God Valley.
Having achieved his goal, Elior prepared to withdraw — but then a mischievous thought crossed his mind.
He dipped the Celestial Dragon's severed hand in blood and scrawled a message across the golden wall:
"Thank you for the hospitality. I'll be sure to visit again. Guess who I am?"
He chuckled to himself.
"Let's see what the Gorosei… and even Imu… do when they find this."
They'd probably cough up blood in fury.
And even if they investigated, they'd find nothing — no clues, no traces of the infiltrator.
Still, Elior made a mental note for Stussy to stay alert. She played an important role within the Government's structure, and though she was loyal to him, her safety was not guaranteed.
Even so, Elior knew that no torture, no matter how severe, could ever make Stussy betray him. Her will belonged entirely to him.
Leaving the chamber behind, Elior stepped out into the marble corridors.
Just then, two Celestial Dragons entered the hallway — one man and one woman, their auras faint but detectable, roughly equivalent to Marine Rear Admirals.
Elior's blade flashed once. Both were cut cleanly in half.
"Three strong Celestial Dragons today," he murmured. "Seems not all of them are useless parasites walking their slaves like dogs."
He vanished into the shadows of the night.
Meanwhile, Mary Geoise was far from quiet. As night fell, the Celestial Dragons began their usual revelry.
[Ding! Sign-in detected. Would the host like to proceed?"]
Mary Geoise, being such a significant location, naturally triggered the system's function.Elior suspected it wouldn't be the last time.
[Sign-in successful! Reward: Flight and Explosion Magic — [KONOSUBA]
"Explosion magic?"
Feeling an unfamiliar power welling inside him, Elior raised his hand. A dark-red magic circle appeared above his palm, pulsating with raw destructive energy. He understood instinctively that, with a mere thought, he could release it — and the resulting blast would make even the fiercest storms tremble.
"Explosion… art is an explosion" he muttered with a grin.
Ten minutes later, using his new ability to fly, Elior hovered high above the city. Below, in an open coliseum, over twenty Celestial Dragons cheered gleefully as dozens of blood-soaked slaves fought to the death.
Their screams echoed across the arena, the ground littered with corpses and severed limbs.
Elior's expression darkened.
"So this is what entertains the so-called gods of the world…"
He raised his right hand. The crimson magic circle above it began to spin and expand — power surging like a star about to ignite.
