Cherreads

Chapter 102 - 102

Soon enough, all the wicked forces hoping to hunt and traffic the inhabitants of Fish-Man Island were utterly slaughtered by Weevil, amidst screams of terror and despair.

Weevil might've been a fool, but his strength was monstrous. After all, it was Weevil who had severed Zephyr's arm — not that Elior knew the specifics of how he did it, but even with a surprise attack, taking down someone of Zephyr's caliber wasn't an easy feat.

Regardless, Weevil was undeniably powerful.

And more importantly—extremely useful!

As soon as Elior saw the pirates and traffickers crowding around Fish-Man Island's gates, he immediately understood their motives.

They were after the people of Fish-Man Island — what else could possibly attract them here?

There was nothing else of value here. But the people? Sold in the slave auctions of Sabaody Archipelago, they fetched exorbitant prices. Especially the mermaids, who were highly prized in the eyes of the Celestial Dragons.

"Brother! I've finished them off!"

Weevil reported back excitedly, having slaughtered over a hundred people without even a drop of blood staining him.

Meanwhile, the Fish-Man soldiers guarding the gates were left utterly dumbfounded—more than that, terrified.

They had been struggling just to keep these invaders at bay, and now this newcomer had wiped them all out with ridiculous ease!

The soldiers were shaken to their core.

But Elior didn't pay them any mind. He led his group straight through the crowd. Out of sheer fear, the soldiers instinctively parted, making way for him. No one dared block the path—not with Weevil's blood-stained blade glinting ominously.

Deep beneath the ocean, a thousand meters under the sea, newspapers rarely reached Fish-Man Island. As a result, not everyone here knew just who Elior was.

"My lord, I think I overheard something earlier… The Big Mom Pirates are here too. Someone named Smoothie, right?"

"Yes, one of Big Mom's top commanders arrived ahead of us."

"A Sweet Commander?!" Reiju was alarmed.

But then she remembered—Elior himself was now one of the Yonko. What was a mere Sweet Commander compared to that?

And just as Elior stepped deeper into Fish-Man Island, the voice of his system echoed in his mind.

[Ding! Check-in point detected. Would you like to sign in?]

Sure enough, Fish-Man Island was another sign-in location. Elior didn't hesitate—more rewards were always welcome. The only question was: what was the prize this time?

[Check-in complete. Reward: Ultimate Observation Haki — 'Voice of All Things.']

"The Voice of All Things?"

Elior was stunned. He hadn't expected to gain this ability.

He'd heard of it before — Gol D. Roger possessed it. It allowed one to hear the voices of all things, even the Poneglyphs, enabling him to interpret their meanings.

How it worked exactly, Elior didn't know.

But the moment he gained this power, he activated it—and instantly, the sounds around him became crystal clear, as if his senses had been amplified a thousandfold. He could even hear the grass… whispering to one another!

"Grass can communicate with each other?"

He muttered in confusion, prompting Reiju to blink at him.

"My lord, what are you saying?"

Elior quickly dismissed the ability, cutting off the overwhelming influx of voices.

"Nothing."

Then, without further delay, the group made their way toward Ryugu Kingdom, the royal palace. Soon enough, they arrived — where Neptune was still engaged in talks with Smoothie and her subordinates.

The moment Elior entered, everyone's eyes locked onto him — Neptune, Smoothie, everyone.

Anyone who'd read the newspapers or heard the rumors couldn't possibly not know who he was.

The presence of a Yonko—right here on Fish-Man Island!

Elior, flanked by Reiju at his side and the hulking, foolish-looking Weevil behind him, made his entrance.

The room tensed immediately. Smoothie and her crew especially felt a wave of invisible pressure crash down on them.

This was a Yonko on par with Big Mom herself!

Psychologically, they couldn't help but feel suppressed. Elior's appearance alone screamed confrontation, especially in these turbulent times when territory was up for grabs.

"The Big Mom Pirates want Fish-Man Island, huh?"

Smoothie instantly knew: Elior had come for the same reason.

"Yes! Fish-Man Island now belongs to us, the Big Mom Pirates!" she declared, standing her ground despite her caution toward him.

Elior, however, spoke flatly:

"Fish-Man Island is mine. Get lost."

"You—!"

Smoothie bristled with rage. "You think just because you're a Yonko too, we'll back down? My mama is Charlotte Linlin, Big Mom!"

"In a world of the strong, who cares about who was here first?"

It wasn't Elior who said that — it was Reiju, speaking with calm defiance. Elior couldn't help but nod in appreciation.

This was what he wanted from her — not to cower like a flower vase behind him, but to stand tall and speak as his confidante, his aide.

Meanwhile, Smoothie glared at Reiju. "And who are you supposed to be?"

Reiju smirked. "I serve my lord."

Neptune watched, heart sinking — this wasn't just a spat between two women, it was a confrontation between two Yonko forces.

Why had this terrifying man, the one who killed Whitebeard, come here?

Smoothie assessed Reiju, then shifted her gaze to Elior. The pressure he emitted was undeniable—an aura fitting of a Yonko.

For a moment, she felt a chill deep in her bones. She'd underestimated him, mistaking his youthful appearance for weakness.

But wasn't he the one who tore through Marineford, heavily injured Akainu, killed Aokiji, wiped out the Government's top combat force, and even ended Whitebeard?

Such a monstrous record — she wasn't even sure if her mama could achieve all that.

After all, every Yonko was a monster among monsters. Their mere Conqueror's Haki could shake the skies.

What Smoothie didn't notice was that her own subordinates behind her were trembling — Elior's mere presence as a Yonko was suffocating to them.

"Brrr… Brrr…"

At that moment, Smoothie's pocket Den Den Mushi rang. Her expression changed immediately.

It was her mama.

There was no ignoring that call—not if she valued her life.

"Mamama~…"

That eerie, sinister laugh came through—the unmistakable voice of Big Mom herself. Even Neptune felt another wave of dread.

"Smoothie, is it done? Where are my sweets?" Big Mom asked.

Before Smoothie could answer, Elior's voice rang out clearly.

"Big Mom, I'm taking Fish-Man Island. Best you stay in Totto Land and keep playing queen of your sandbox."

Everyone froze. Even Reiju felt a shiver — this was Big Mom, one of the most feared beings in the world!

Yet Elior's calm tone sent a wave of fear through Smoothie.

"Smoothie, who was that?"

Big Mom's tone shifted, growing darker. She sensed her authority being challenged.

Nearby, Katakuri and the others frowned deeply — this wasn't Smoothie's voice. Someone else was speaking on her line.

And that person just declared they were taking Fish-Man Island — for themselves.

Who the hell was arrogant enough to say that to Big Mom herself?
