"Aren't you going to church today? We agreed, Ingrid." Joy reminded me.
"How can I go, Joy?" I groggily asked her.
"Come on, don't be like this. We both had an agreement! Don't be like this all because of a man. Carry yourself with pride. You did nothing wrong ... .even though you still ended up embarrassing yourself," she mumbled the last part and I slowly sat upright and glared at her. But instead of feeling sorry, she burst into laughter.
Without saying a word, I got out of bed and went straight to the bathroom and it only made her laugh all the more. I banged the door shut behind me before going to my mirror and staring at it in annoyance.
Last night I didn't sleep early and now it has taken a great effect on me. My eyes were heavy and I looked very unkempt.
