Kieran leaned back in his leather chair, the soft ticking of the clock behind him syncing with the deliberate tapping of his fingers on the mahogany desk.

A small smirk curled his lips as he read her latest message.

Raine:"I'll come visit you because I heard you fell sick because of me. I need an explanation as to how that happened since I can't remember any fucking thing apart from you fighting those monsters.

Ofcourse she didn't remember. For one, he didn't want her to live with that trauma and secondary, she has to live with that idea that she owes me big time.

She was clueless. And that made her easier to guide.
