I look at the television, pain searing through me, as news reports of all four Heartstone men arrested, explodes. They each face life time sentence if found guilty. All evidence is pointing at them for deaths of many notable families.
I clutch the fork in my hand tight. Pain digs into my palm. I'm at the table having breakfast, but the food doesn't taste like food. It tastes like sand. I'm weary because I was unable to sleep all night. I tossed in bed, worried sick about Regan.
And when I came down for breakfast minutes ago, I was greeted by this news piece that has chimed all morning. I wanted to change the channel, but I didn't want it to look obvious before the maids. They've been eyeing me weirdly. Is it because of the pictures in the room. They must have seen them. I'm so embarrassed.
