"Do you need more blood?" Silas stood by Arabella facing the tall trees that lined the property.
Heart a little heavy in her chest, she did not look his way when replying, "The baby is satiated. Do you need more blood?"
"I do not," he shook his head, "Can you hear them coming?"
Their attention turned to the crackling of twigs and stomping of dirt and grass that drew closer towards them at such a high speed.
"I can," she nodded, still facing ahead.
"Can you tell how many of them there are?"
"I…," doing her best to tune everything else out, her mind did not obey with ease and staggered a bit when attempting to deduce how many visitors were traveling their way, "I can differentiate two sets of four synchronized feet, one being much heavier than the second," Her eyes snapped his way, full of light, "Are there two of them? It has to be Cynric and Remus! They must be in their wolf form!"
"What about their heartbeats?"
