Silas and Emeric never had long, drawn out conversations but even in limbo, after over a century of separation he still had nothing to say to his father.
Emeric settled down as Silas stood by his figure, staring ahead as if something lived in the distance. Nothing did…
"And here I thought you had changed," he sighed, resting his cheek on his fist.
"I am not sure how to respond to that," Silas didn't even look his way.
"Haven't you missed me?" the man pouted.
"Of course, I have," he said in the flattest tones to ever be.
"Oh, how lovely… Your wife was just here," Emeric peered up, knowing full well the reaction his son would have.
Predictably, Silas dropped all attempts at composure and finally looked his father in the eyes, "When? Where did she go? How was she?"
