Five minutes ago.
Almost right at the start of the interview, the professors arrived fashionably late.
"Hey, Teacher You, just arrived?"
"Yes, Mr. Chang, you just got here too."
"Been quite busy recently."
"Busy, it's good to be busy..."
After a brief greeting, the professors exchanged polite refusals over their seating arrangements a few times before finally settling down.
Knock knock knock—
The exam coordinator came in right after knocking: "Professors, here is the list of candidates for today."
"Oh, alright. How many do we have this year, and how many arrived today?" the professor sitting on the outermost seat nodded, looking as though he had never seen the candidate list before.
The coordinator stated a number, then handed each examiner a sealed envelope in turn.
Graduate students working part-time as exam coordinators then set up the venue, served tea, handed out pens, and set up cameras behind the professors.
Everything was in order.
