Perhaps because the family of three was together, the owner's wife and the owner were much relieved. Ely didn't know whether her parents also felt as relaxed as they appeared, but she could only do this much for now.
"Alright, let's not dwell on this anymore. It's getting late. Let's go back and rest. Let us, as a family, happily greet tomorrow morning," Ely said with a smile.
"Okay, but it's been a long time since we mother and daughter slept together. Would you like to sleep with Mom tonight?" the owner's wife said, holding Ely's hand.
Ely knew her mother didn't trust her; she feared she might secretly go to find the bully. So Ely looked at her mother with even more tenderness.
"Okay, Mom, then tonight let Dad sleep alone. I'm going to take you over," Ely said, holding her mother's arm.
The family of three parted ways, each with a smile, as if there were no shadows looming over them.
