As Lynch gradually interacted more with Wizard Somda, he came to learn more about his mentor.
He was a very focused person.
Once he got into something, he would immerse himself completely as if he couldn't stop, going without rest or sleep.
Ever since entering this particular space, Lynch had spent most of his time watching him at that enormous clock. Either drafting blueprints and calculating formulas near the clock or hammering away with various tools and parts on the clock face itself.
Whether Lynch was meditating, studying, or simply passing by, he would always see Somda there, as though he never took a moment's pause.
Lynch couldn't help but quip, "Mentor, don't you need to rest? Your dedication is a bit too much!"
Little did Lynch expect Somda to counter, "Shouldn't I be asking you this question instead?"
