Chapter 231 - Chapter 231 : Otsutsuki Shibai's Genes!

Uchiha Jiri and Uchiha Hikaru stood at the borders of the Uchiha district, stunned by what they saw.

This wasn't the Uchiha clan they remembered—angry, bitter, dragged into the blood-soaked gears of war, dying with Sharingan blazing in vengeance. No, what they saw now was a paradise. Peaceful. Full of laughter. Shinobi smiling without masks. Children running without kunai in hand.

No blood. No hatred. Just peace.

And all of it surrounded one name—Uchiha Shin.

As they followed Uchiha Shin deeper into the heart of the district, Jiri and Hikaru saw firsthand the lives he had changed. They passed by couples enjoying a stroll, elders playing shōgi, and pregnant kunoichi giggling over baby names. And always—always—a tone of reverence for Shin.

Eventually, they arrived at the old Uchiha mansion, still preserved like a relic of a simpler time. It had a warmth to it, a kind of spiritual gravity that pulled memories from their past. Shin hadn't altered it much. Nostalgia lived in its walls, and so did his women.

Yes—his women.

Inside, Mikoto, Kanako, Kushina, and Konan were lounging comfortably, their baby bumps forming a bizarre yet unified aesthetic. All of them wore that gentle glow of motherhood... except Konan. She was the odd one out—flat-stomached, and lately, a little more irritable than usual.

Konan glanced around and bit her lip.

Tch... I'm starting to feel left out, she thought, eyes narrowing as she stared at Mikoto's expanding belly.

She glanced at Shin's direction with a twinkle of mischief and a hint of frustration. Maybe I should "work harder" tonight...

Suddenly—

"I'm back!"

Shin's voice rang from the entrance like a beacon. Everyone's faces lit up instantly.

Mikoto, the ever-elegant queen of this strange domestic court, rose with grace and opened the door with a soft smile.

"Welcome back, Shinjun~" she purred, eyes sparkling with longing and warmth. There was a maturity to her now—something maternal, deep, and magnetically erotic. Even Hikaru, who barely knew her, felt momentarily stunned.

"I'm back, Mikoto."

He wrapped her in a gentle embrace. Then he stepped aside and gestured toward the two behind him.

"They're Uchiha Hikaru and Uchiha Jiri. Their backgrounds are... complicated. I'll explain."

The girls' eyes immediately darted toward the newcomers.

Konan, curious as ever, leaned in close to Hikaru. She realized they were probably around the same age—and that alone triggered a subtle flare of jealousy in Mikoto and Kanako.

Mikoto squinted at them. There was something off.

"Uchiha…? Why don't I recognize them?"

Still, playing the hostess, she stood and glided toward the kitchen, returning with dango, mochi, and steaming tea. The group moved into the hall as Shin began recounting their origin.

When the girls heard that Hikaru and Jiri came from an alternate timeline—an era long past—their eyes widened.

"Uchiha Hikaru... Uchiha Jiri… They don't exist in any of the clan archives," Mikoto murmured.

Shin nodded thoughtfully. "The timeline is correcting itself. My goal has been to stabilize it. From what I've observed, nothing catastrophic has shifted. Though their records now show them as mysterious geniuses who emerged in a crisis, created an evolved form of Izanami, and ended the Uchiha civil conflict."

He gave a crooked smile.

"They've already become legends."

The tension broke. Jealousy faded, replaced by curiosity.

Mikoto, ever the diplomat, softened and began asking them warm, personal questions. She already knew Shin had other lovers—like Izumi. This wasn't new.

What mattered was harmony. And Hikaru and Jiri? They were Uchiha through and through.

Soon, she had them both smiling. In just a few exchanges, she'd weaved her charisma into their hearts. They were charmed.

Shin, seeing things settling, knew it was time to move.

He had one final piece to seize.

Years ago, he had infiltrated Kara's ranks as a god among men. His Infinite Kami Genjutsu had twisted every Kara member into loyal tools—except one: Jigen.

But Jigen was just a vessel. The true threat was the knowledge he possessed—specifically, a piece of Otsutsuki Shibai's divine genetic material.

In order to obtain that fragment without bloodshed or backlash, Shin had played a long game. He manipulated Kara's inner structure until Jigen—desperate to regain power—handed a portion of Shibai's DNA to Amado for cloning.

Now, it was ripe for the taking.

Shin smirked darkly. "Finally…"

He activated Yomi Hirasaka, tearing a space-time rift and stepping through it.

Amado was already waiting, nervous sweat forming on his brow as he held out a containment vial.

Inside floated a sliver of flesh—ancient, undying.

"The DNA given by Jigen. I didn't tamper with it," Amado said quickly, backing away.

Shin didn't speak. His eyes locked onto the sample.

It pulsed—yes, pulsed—with energy that defied mortality. Even centuries later, it hadn't dried, hadn't decayed. This was godflesh.

So this is the residue of Otsutsuki Shibai…

From Kaguya's memories, he knew the truth. Shibai was no longer bound to mortal form. After devouring countless chakra fruits, he ascended—shedding his body, transcending death, and slipping through dimensions like air.

The body left behind? It became legend—revered, hidden, harvested.

Shin's fingers curled as he examined the flesh.

"Jigen... you little thief. You stole from a god."

And still, the Otsutsuki—despite their arrogance—never learned the science of their own power. They had relics beyond compare but lacked the insight to wield them.

"Such a waste."

He extended his chakra.

Fwuoom—!

Billions of microscopic chakra threads surged out from him, wrapping around the flesh like a cocoon. The meat vibrated and then exploded in a silent hum of raw, divine resonance.

Bang!

The tissue was reduced to strings of DNA. Strands unraveled in mid-air and began fusing directly with Shin's own.

He closed his eyes, feeling every helix twist into his cells, every sequence etching itself into his marrow.

"Cellular recombination initiated. Genetic remodeling in progress…"

His breathing slowed.

One wrong move and he could become a puppet of Shibai's divine will.

But Shin was no fool. He didn't want Shibai's consciousness—only his gifts.

He rejected everything else. Piece by piece, he filtered out Shibai's instincts, emotions, lingering will. He broke down the divine chakra into usable components.

Control. Always control.

The room trembled.

Amado had collapsed to the floor, eyes wide in terror, witnessing something truly godlike.

Shin's skin shimmered. His chakra surged with celestial signatures. He felt his own cells evolving—shedding old patterns, embracing the divine structure.

So this is what it means to hold the power of a god... and still remain yourself.

The fusion wasn't total. He didn't want it to be. He would not become another vessel. He would carve his own path—a god among gods, built not from blind inheritance, but sheer will and ruthless vision.

The process concluded. His chakra stilled.

He opened his eyes—and the room darkened for a split second, his gaze carrying a pressure that cracked the walls.

Then he smiled.

"Now… the game changes."
