The range of instant teleportation has expanded to 100 kilometers due to the growth of his Mangekyō Sharingan abilities.
"If I rely on rapid teleportation, can I reach the moon without needing to find a passage?" Uchiha Shin mused, his crimson eyes glinting with anticipation as he gazed at the vast sky above.
On his way to Kirigakure, the Hidden Mist Village in the Land of Water, Shin weighed his options. He now had the confidence to face the descendants of Hamura Ōtsutsuki who resided on the moon. Even if they detected his arrival, his absolute power ensured he had nothing to fear.
"The moon is roughly 400,000 kilometers away. If I teleport non-stop, I need to use Kamui around 4,000 times."
A smirk played on his lips. "In about... half an hour, I can reach the moon."
However, he quickly dismissed the idea. it relied on spatial exchange, and space itself wasn't filled with tangible matter like the air. The void of space lacked particles to latch onto for instant warping. He was not yet at the level where he could bend the rules of physics to that degree.
"No, this is just an ideal theory. it requires a fixed anchor point... I'm not capable of swapping places with something that doesn't exist in the void," he concluded, shaking his head at his own reckless thoughts.
He turned his gaze downward, descending swiftly. From an altitude of 10,000 meters, Kirigakure came into full view beneath him.
"I came, I saw, I conquered."
His voice was barely above a whisper, yet it carried the weight of an impending calamity.
Uchiha Shin was not one to act unnecessarily. As the ruler of the Land of Fire, he preferred to enjoy the luxuries that came with power. But since he was here, he had no intention of merely securing the bloodline limit of the Kaguya Clan.
Before his physical presence even touched the ground, his soul's pressure enveloped the entire village. Every ninja, from lowly genin to seasoned jonin, felt an oppressive weight on their chests.
Inside the Mizukage's office, the fourth Mizukage, Yagura Karatachi, sat at the head of a long conference table. His green hair, violet eyes, and the suture-like scar beneath his left eye marked his distinct presence. Around him sat representatives of the most powerful bloodline limit clans in Kirigakure.
They varied in age, from a frail elder with silver hair and sunken cheeks to a sharp-eyed fourteen-year-old girl sitting in the corner. All were engaged in heated discussions regarding alliances with other villages.
"The Daimyō of the Land of Water has already declared that we must participate in the campaign against the Land of Fire," Yagura stated, his voice steady and commanding.
"As you all know, our food supply relies heavily on imports from the Land of Fire. They've raised the prices fivefold, bleeding our treasury dry."
Tension filled the room.
"Furthermore, Konoha has been annexing minor nations at an alarming rate. Their goal is obvious—to dominate the entire shinobi world. While we may be surrounded by the sea, we cannot sit idly by and wait for destruction."
Murmurs of agreement filled the chamber, but one voice rose in skepticism.
"How do we ensure the other villages won't betray us at a critical moment?" The oldest elder, known simply as the "Marshal," narrowed his eyes.
Yagura was prepared for this. "We've demanded payment in advance from the other villages. If they break the pact, we keep the money."
He let his words settle before adding, "Sunagakure, being the impoverished wasteland that it is, has offered us something more valuable than money—a high-ranking kunoichi with a bloodline limit, to serve as collateral."
The Marshal stroked his beard thoughtfully before nodding in approval. Everyone knew how desperate Sunagakure was. Offering up one of their elite kunoichi was a sign of commitment.
At that moment, a sharp voice cut through the discussion.
"When do we move out?! The Kaguya Clan grows impatient!" A white-haired man stood up, his wild eyes burning with unrestrained battle lust.
The man's mere presence made the other clan leaders frown. The Kaguya were infamous for their war-hungry nature. Their signature Kekkei Genkai, the Shikotsumyaku, granted them near-unparalleled melee prowess—but it also made them dangerously unstable.
Yagura, though visibly irritated, maintained his composure. As Mizukage, he needed the Kaguya's strength, no matter how problematic they were.
"Patience, Chief Kaguya," he began, exhaling sharply.
Before he could continue, a sudden, suffocating pressure engulfed the entire village.
Every ninja in the room stiffened. Without hesitation, they abandoned the meeting and rushed outside.
The previously drizzling rain had stopped, and an eerie dryness settled in its place. Villagers and shinobi alike turned their eyes skyward.
A lone figure descended from the heavens, his presence godlike. Though he was still distant, the weight of his existence crushed their spirits. Even the air felt thinner under his gaze.
A melody, unheard yet felt deep within their bones, reverberated through their minds—a silent hymn of impending doom.
Yagura's eyes widened in horror. "Uchiha Shin?!"
A wave of unease swept through the gathered shinobi. Weapons were drawn, hands formed seals, and battle stances were taken. But to Shin, it was amusing. Like ants baring their fangs at a dragon.
With his hands folded behind his back, he hovered above Kirigakure, surveying the village like a deity peering down at his creation.
His gaze swept across the architecture, the shinobi, and then—he paused.
A young girl stood amidst the crowd. She had long, wavy auburn hair and striking emerald eyes. A light blue tube-top dress adorned her slender frame, emphasizing her developing curves. Though her face still carried a youthful innocence, there was no denying her potential.
Shin's lips curled slightly. "Mei Terumī?"
Her eyes widened in shock. Though she had never seen him before, she recognized his name. Everyone did.
For a fleeting moment, Shin lingered on her. Perhaps, in the future, this girl would be the one to inherit the Hidden Mist.
But for now, he had more pressing matters to attend to.
War was coming, and Kirigakure was merely the first stop.
