Among all the Tailed Beasts, the Nine-Tails was the closest to the Ten-Tails.
In sheer chakra reserves alone, it eclipsed the others by an overwhelming margin.
Uchiha Shin couldn't help but wonder if the Sage of Six Paths had been playing favorites when he distributed chakra among the Tailed Beasts. Maybe he gave a portion to the One-Tail, a portion to the Two-Tails, and so on... but when he got to the end, he just dumped whatever was left into the Nine-Tails. The One-Tail was utterly pathetic in comparison to the fully manifested Nine-Tails before him.
The beast's immense body radiated killing intent, its monstrous jaws parting to reveal a spiraling mass of chakra condensing into a black sphere at an alarming speed.
Its Tailed Beast Bomb was forming far faster than Shin had ever seen before.
The Nine-Tails swallowed the dense sphere and unleashed it in a concentrated beam of annihilation.
The sheer force was enough to tear through the landscape, reducing forests and mountains to nothingness in an instant.
"Nine-Tails, your power is ridiculous!"
Shin narrowed his eyes as the wave of destruction surged toward him. Even from this distance, he could feel the monstrous force packed within the attack. If this were the Konoha of old, a few blasts like this would have wiped it off the map.
Sighing, he activated his eyes.
The next moment, his 300-meter-tall Susanoo erupted into existence, a titan clad in ethereal armor. It moved with a speed that defied its massive size.
A blade formed in Susanoo's grip, black flames of Amaterasu coating its surface.
With a single swing, the sword cleaved through the incoming beam of destruction.
Before the stunned onlookers, the Tailed Beast Bomb was split in two, redirected in opposite directions. One half crashed into Konoha, but the barrier Shin had erected held firm. The other half obliterated a distant mountain range, leaving behind a smoldering, glassed-over crater that stretched for miles.
But no one was paying attention to the ruined landscape.
Every pair of eyes was locked onto the battlefield.
The golden Susanoo raised its blade again, unleashing a crescent-shaped shockwave that streaked toward the Nine-Tails.
The beast barely had time to react before the attack struck home, slicing through its massive form.
The Nine-Tails' body split cleanly in half, the cut impossibly precise for a beast of its size. The ground beneath it was carved apart by the residual force, creating a deep gorge that stretched beyond the horizon.
Yet despite the severity of the wound, the Nine-Tails' flesh was already knitting itself back together.
Shin didn't intend to give it another chance.
"The fight is over, Nine-Tails. You're too powerful to be left unchecked."
The beast, still healing, wanted to spit back a retort.
"Too powerful? What the hell are you talking about?!"
If he was too strong, then what the hell was this guy? Was he fighting a ghost?
Realization dawned on the Nine-Tails then.
Shin wasn't on his level. He was on the level of Uchiha Madara... no, even worse.
"Why the hell does another freak like you exist?!"
The frustration in its voice only made Shin smirk.
"Monster, am I? That's rich coming from you."
His Susanoo surged forward, an enormous hand closing around the Nine-Tails' snout. The force behind the grip was apocalyptic, slamming the beast's head into the earth with such force that the entire battlefield trembled.
A deafening crash rang out, the impact leaving behind a massive crater.
The Nine-Tails' body twitched, dazed by the brutal attack. It struggled to rise, but before it could, gleaming golden chains shot forth from Susanoo's hand.
Realizing the danger, the beast lashed out, its tails whipping through the air with the force to level mountains. But when they struck the chains, they didn't even leave a scratch.
The diamond-like bindings coiled around the Nine-Tails, wrapping around its limbs and neck before tightening with an ominous crack.
The beast howled in fury.
"What the hell?! My chakra—?!"
A sharp, stabbing sensation flooded its body. It could feel it—its chakra was being drained.
Its eyes widened in disbelief. It wasn't just chakra—Shin was siphoning away its very essence. Yin and Yang chakra, natural energy, even its overwhelming malice—it was all being drawn into the Uchiha's body.
Any ordinary human would have been consumed in an instant.
But Shin wasn't ordinary.
Instead, his golden armor shimmered, his very presence intensifying as his body adapted to the influx of power.
His eyes flickered open, and something changed. The golden hue of his aura deepened, black magatama forming along the collar of his robes.
His muscles tensed, his very cells thrumming with newfound vitality.
"This is... interesting."
Shin flexed his fingers, testing the changes.
His chakra had evolved. His connection to natural energy had deepened threefold. His control over Yin-Yang Release had refined to near perfection.
But more importantly, he could feel something new.
The ability to share his power.
Curious, he tested the theory.
At that moment, miles away, a golden aura suddenly ignited around Tsunade.
The transformation was instant. Chakra surged through her body, forming an ethereal cloak that clung tightly to her curves, accentuating every line and dip of her form.
Power flooded her system. Strength unlike anything she had ever felt. It wasn't just an enhancement—it was as if Shin's very essence had wrapped around her.
Her heartbeat quickened.
"What the hell is this...?"
Mikoto and the others in the room froze, their gazes locked onto the sudden change.
Then, in unison, they turned toward her.
Shin's voice echoed in their minds.
"Just experimenting. How does it feel, Tsunade?"
She shivered.
"You and your damn experiments..."
Her arms crossed over her body as she clenched her thighs together, trying to suppress the odd sensation coursing through her. It was overwhelming. Overpowering.
She didn't just feel stronger—she felt...
She scowled.
"You better not have done anything weird."
Shin smirked, amused by the accusation.
"Define weird."
Her eyes narrowed.
This bastard...
Her fingers clenched into fists, chakra humming beneath her skin.
"I swear to god, if this is another one of your perverted techniques—"
Mikoto coughed into her hand, suppressing a laugh.
Shin merely chuckled.
"Relax, I just wanted to see if I could share power. But if you're enjoying it that much..."
Tsunade's eye twitched.
One day, she was going to kill this man.
She just had to figure out how first.
