Zhi'er put her little hands on her hips in anger.
The surroundings were noisy, so she had to jump up and say angrily.
"I'm only four and a half, but you look like you must be seventeen or eighteen! How can a child abduct an adult!"
As she spoke, people constantly shuffled past in a hurrying crowd.
Zhi'er was almost knocked into the river channel behind her twice.
Fortunately, the stranger caught her in time.
"If you stop here, you won't be able to wait for your brother. There are too many people here, he can't squeeze through."
Zhi'er thought he made some sense.
So, she followed him upstream along the river channel.
Compared to downstream, the streets here were much less crowded.
The man led Zhi'er closer to the riverbank and took out a flint from his pocket: "Let's release the river lantern here."
After he spoke, he didn't hear a response for a while.
He turned around, only to see the little one standing in place, reluctant to move forward.
