When Beichen Rui returned to the room, after helping him change into home clothes, I left the room to find Jingxi.
The little guy was lying on the floor, not sure what he was studying. The room had floor heating, so it didn't feel cold.
As soon as Ye Xinluo entered the room, Jingxi noticed and turned his head, "Mommy, why did you come over?"
Earlier, when Beichen Rui came back from the hospital, he went down to have a look, but didn't stay long before returning to his room.
Ye Xinluo sat down next to him, on the floor, and glanced at what he was studying, "Are you used to being at home alone these days?"
Ye Xinluo didn't ask directly, fearing the little guy might feel resistant.
"It's okay. Why does Mommy ask?"
Ye Xinluo hesitated for a moment. Her son was too smart and quickly shut down her line of questioning, "No reason, just heard recently that you seem a little unhappy. Can you tell Mommy why?"
