Alexander's words initially made Isla frown, but when she saw him winking at her, she seemed to realize something, and her furrowed brows gradually relaxed.
"Alright." After responding to Alexander, Isla turned to look at Christopher and Sophia, "Father-in-law! Mother-in-law! We'll leave first and let the two kids stay here."
After speaking, she didn't wait for a response and stood up from the sofa, looking ready to leave.
Seeing this, Alexander quickly stood up as well, "We'll be going now."
Seeing his wife cooperate with his actions, he felt a weight lift off his shoulders immediately.
Seeing the in-laws stand up, Christopher and Sophia quickly stood up as well. Sophia was the first to try and persuade them to stay, "Why are you leaving so soon? Stay a little longer."
As she spoke, she started walking over to the couple, worried they were leaving because of earlier unpleasantness.
