Easton Holmes drove to the military district, while Alice Turner and Lily Turner returned to the Turner Family home. As soon as the two sisters walked in the door, Sophia Wood approached them from the living room.
"What's the deal with that woman?"
Earlier on the phone, Alice wasn't very clear, and Sophia didn't fully understand. During the time it took the two sisters to arrive, her heart was filled with worry.
Alice spoke up before Lily did, having understood the truth of the matter from Lily on their way there. She summarized the situation and explained it in her own words, "That woman is Easton's ex-girlfriend. She heard he's getting married, so she showed up to deliberately cause trouble."
She tried to simplify things to prevent their mom from overthinking.
"Is he still in contact with his ex-girlfriend?"
Easton had dated before, which didn't surprise Sophia at all. Such an outstanding man couldn't possibly have a blank romantic history.
