Lily Turner stared at her bowl for quite a while before reluctantly opening her mouth to utter that phrase.
"I think you should tell Mom and Dad sooner rather than later, or if they hear it from someone else, they're definitely going to be angry," Alice Turner paused, then added, "Especially Mom, she's definitely going to be mad."
Their mom's temper, especially when it came to her younger daughter, was something she couldn't understand why it was so intense.
"Let her be angry if she wants, anyway, she's never been kind to me,"
