Queen Fortuna could already guess what Lord Rowland had been searching for in her room. She wanted to ask, but she held herself back. There was no need to pretend or panic because she knew they would find nothing. One thing no one seemed to understand about her was that she would never keep anything that could get her into trouble in her own room. She always handed such things over to Angelina. That was the reason she was calm throughout the search.
Tonight, she was glad. They searched and left with empty hands.
As soon as they were gone, Angelina closed the door behind them. She turned around and asked, "What do you think they were searching for?"
"I honestly have no idea, Angelina. But I am sure it was something important," the queen replied. She looked around the room, annoyed by the mess they left behind. She didn't even know if she could sleep there tonight. "Do you know if they have spoken to Xavier?"
