After the Black Dragon disappeared, the dwarves gradually returned to normal, but still looked at the square with lingering fear. Most of the ground had been scorched by the Black Dragon's breath, except for the areas inscribed with magic lettering which remained intact. However, there was no other damage, and no one was injured, which was much better than last time.
Langda witnessed the entire process of Lynch taming the giant dragon, and a multitude of emotions surged in his heart. He was delighted that Lynch had become such a remarkable mage, capable of defeating such a beast, worthy of being written into books for future generations to sing praises; yet on the other hand, he worried about the mage's future fate. Lynch would face beings as powerful as the Black Dragon, and any slight misstep could cost him his life.
