For the first time in history, a Balrog was wounded by a weapon from the mortal realm. It howled and stumbled backward, its massive feet crushing its minions into red pulp, while the gusts from its flapping wings sent rocks flying in all directions. Finally, a sturdy mountain wall stopped its collapsing body. Even though the flames within its body eventually reduced the dwarven weapon to ashes, the flames of rage propelled it swiftly towards the mage and the dwarf.
Lynch took out a second scroll and recited loudly: "Gates of the Elemental Plane, keep the power of fire tightly sealed outside, with no leakage or forgetfulness."
