The three older kids were all shouting "Auntie!" and "Aunt-in-law!" joyfully, but Duoduo, despite trying from "Old Auntie" to "Nine Auntie," just couldn't manage to say "Aunt-in-law." Duoduo's face turned red, eyes fixed on the red envelope, in such an adorable way that everyone ended up laughing all morning.
After breakfast, everyone sent Teng Qian's group off. Tong Yao held Connie's hand and said apologetically, "Connie, I'm really sorry for all the trouble you went through these past few days."
Connie gave Tong Yao a friendly hug, smiled, and said, "Auntie, what are you saying? You've all been so kind to me. I haven't suffered one bit."
"As long as you didn't feel mistreated. Let's meet again next weekend."
"Yes, Auntie, we'll see each other very soon."
Tong Yao gave her a loving pat on the arm. "Get in the car now."
Connie smiled and climbed into the car.
