The room was very quiet, with dim lights pouring down and illuminating Dong Xin Yan. She lay curled on the sofa, her head tilted, seemingly having fallen asleep from waiting too long.
Gu Ningyi changed his shoes at the entrance and walked in slowly.
His footsteps unconsciously softened, yet Dong Xin Yan still sensitively heard him, her body moved slightly, and her long, curly eyelashes fluttered as she slowly opened her eyes.
She rubbed her eyes as she straightened her body, looking at Gu Ningyi with a sleepy gaze and a lazy voice, "You're back?"
Gu Ningyi pressed his lips together and, as usual, said nothing.
Dong Xin Yan was accustomed to it and didn't care whether he spoke. She casually said to him, "Goodnight, I'm going to sleep; I'm exhausted."
With that, she got up from the sofa, dragging her slippers as she headed to her room.
