The car screeched to a halt, and Dong Xin Yan exhaled softly before opening her eyes, meeting the gaze cast by Gu Ningyi. She pressed her lips together, stepped out to the rear seat, and knocked on the window.
A flicker of daze in Gu Ningyi's eyes swiftly disappeared, replaced by his usual coldness. He glanced at Dong Xin Yan indifferently, seemingly uninterested in responding to her.
Unable to help feeling anxious, Dong Xin Yan knocked on the window again, more forcefully.
Gu Ningyi remained silent for a few seconds but eventually moved his fingers to lower the window.
The window slowly slid down, revealing the man's handsome yet indifferent profile. He didn't look at her, his thin lips parting slightly, his voice low and cold, "I told you I didn't want to see you again, didn't I?"
Gu Ningyi's attitude was as hurtful as ever, but now, his words couldn't hurt her in the least; they only made her heart ache more.
