"Drink some water first, I just got it and it's cooled down." An Yin looked at her chapped lips and quickly held the water to her mouth.
"I'll do it myself." Shi Qing propped herself up on the bed as she spoke, sat up, and took the disposable plastic cup An Yin handed over.
"Oh."
After a nap, Shi Qing's spirits had improved considerably.
"Gurgle..."
"Gurgle..."
In the noisy hospital room, two faint sounds emerged.
After exchanging a glance, An Yin and Shi Qing both smiled, their lips curling up in a clear bell-like laughter.
An Yin had never seen Shi Qing smile. Even though the black-framed glasses she wore covered half her face, seeing her lips curl up, An Yin's gaze couldn't help but pause for a few seconds.
Noticing An Yin's gaze, Shi Qing quickly concealed her smile and awkwardly lowered her head, "What time is it now?"
"It's past four in the afternoon." An Yin answered honestly.
"You haven't eaten today, have you?"
With a slight glance, An Yin replied, "No."
