Chloe Grant was anxious, "I haven't encountered any trouble, and I didn't mean to say anything's wrong. The reason I'm getting close to you is because I want to..." She took a deep breath, "get to know you better."
Some words were difficult for Chloe to say, her heart tangled and hesitant... but once she started speaking them, she found it wasn't that hard after all.
"Get to know me?" Matthew looked at her, and surprise clearly flashed in his eyes.
He hadn't expected her to say that to him.
While Chloe had been meeting his gaze, she eventually turned her eyes away first.
Matthew's gaze... she couldn't look at it too much.
"I just feel guilty. All these years, I've never truly gotten to know you. I..."
