Chloe Grant suddenly snapped out of her thoughts and quickly answered, "You... no, did something happen to the car?"
"No."
Matthew Morgan replied very straightforwardly.
The next second, his phone rang again. He just glanced down at it and didn't answer.
Instead, he said to Chloe Grant, "Go inside."
Chloe Grant didn't understand what he meant, but she obediently walked inside, taking a few steps before turning back...
His car still hadn't left.
It wasn't until Chloe Grant got on the hotel elevator, reached the third floor where she and Sophia Fraser had planned to meet, that she looked down specially from the window by the stairs...
The car's window below was slowly closing, blocking the view of Matthew Morgan, who was on a call, and then the car drove away.
Was he... waiting for her to get upstairs safely before leaving?
