Yege knew without looking that the person who caught up to her was Chu Xici.
But now, she did not want to see him at all.

As she spoke, she reached out to push Chu Xici away, but her palm felt burning hot.
Chu Xici grasped her wrist, and upon closer inspection, her palm was already scraped and raw.
The path beneath their feet was newly laid with gravel, some of which still had sharp edges that had not been smoothed out, causing Yege to injure both her exposed hands when she fell.
Chu Xici frowned, a hint of tender concern flashing in his eyes.
"Does it hurt?"

Yege, furious, tried to wrench her hand back, but Chu Xici held it tight.
"Stop moving around!"
"Why are you here? Why don't you go comfort your Lu Jingyi?"
Yege was still very aggrieved and angry, so she blurted out whatever came to her mind, not caring how ugly Chu Xici's expression had become.
