Crystal Landon felt a bit surprised, just thinking that her parents were being overly presumptuous. Richard Shaw was a Major General and wielded immense power. The Shaw Family had been a prestigious family since the founding of the country; her Landon Family was simply not on the same level. Not to mention that their daughter wasn't married into the family yet, even if she were, given the disparity in status, if others showed respect, it was out of courtesy. Her parents acting so high and mighty made her feel a bit irritated.
Moreover, when she returned, she saw that Grandma Shaw's attitude was quite kind, yet her father only smiled apologetically and kept looking at his watch, looking as if he was in a hurry.
If these weren't her parents, she might have slapped them.
As expected, Richard Shaw slightly furrowed his brow but said nothing.
"Grandma, what were you talking about?" Richard Shaw asked, sitting next to the old lady.
