Delphine was in the rest area on the first floor. In June, the weather in the mountains was still cool and the air conditioning was off. The wooden doors at the front and back were open, allowing a gentle mountain breeze to pass through, making it quite pleasant.
Delphine was flipping through some books. Over the past few days, she had Arthur White bring lots of books. Even in the mountains, she didn't skip her studies. Upon hearing Benjamin Leclair's voice, she thought she was imagining it.
Ignatius Leclair was preparing lunch. He saw the little girl in a white summer dress with cherry patterns, hair styled in an adorable fishtail braid. She hadn't grown any taller, remaining a tiny, delicate bundle, like a little butterfly, she fluttered into Delphine's arms and sweetly exclaimed, "Mommy, Benjamin is here. Ooh, Benjamin missed Mommy so much."
The little girl didn't glance at all at her tall and handsome daddy standing in the living room.
