Delphine kept silent as she was carried to the bath.
This house had a huge bathroom, and the bathtub was wooden, more like a bath pool. There was a balcony right outside the tub with a wide-open view, but the balcony's door was always locked, probably because Ignatius Leclair feared she might not think straight and jump off.
Delphine thought of her two adorable kids at home and decided to fight him to the end.
"It hurts." As soon as she entered the water, she shivered from the soreness, her voice weak. It wasn't really that painful, just her limbs were weak, making the hot water's slight sting somewhat uncomfortable.
Ignatius Leclair paused, his movements becoming gentler. He cradled her in the pool and said in a low voice, "Soaking in hot water will make you feel much better."
