The Air Elemental Creature exploded in the air, and Otarais seized this instant of Mephisto's distraction to dash forward, timing it perfectly. Mephisto sharply turned his head but could only catch the figure of Brand as he sped away.
"Such clever tricks," he muttered.
Mephisto sheathed his sword and silently glanced in the direction before following; he wasn't afraid of an ambush, just thought that if Veronica was there, it would be a good chance to deal with her as well.
