She hadn't walked far when Xiao Qing heard someone calling her from behind. She turned and saw Xiao Anze, who had apparently come out and was walking toward her.
She turned around and greeted him, "Brother, isn't the ward over there? Why are you coming from this direction?" Xiao Qing pointed towards the direction behind her.
Xiao Anze glanced behind her and shook his head, "You remembered it wrong. Come with me."
"Oh." She followed him back, "Brother, has Sister Yang Qiao woken up?"
"Hmm, she just fell asleep a little while ago."
Xiao Qing silently nodded, probably exhausted from crying.
Xiao Anze escorted Xiao Qing to the ward and then left, asking her to wait for him to come back, which she agreed to.
In the hospital bed, Yang Qiao slept quietly, her pale yet serene face evoking a sense of pity in Xiao Qing. She sat down by the bed, looked at Yang Qiao again, but found her staring back at her with wide eyes.
