"Yes, they are all pitiable people, just not sure if one day in the future, if father really finds mother, whether mother would forgive him."
"If only he knew today what he did back then," Mrs. Landon murmured softly, "Sometimes finding someone might not be a good thing."
Mabel Quinn remained silent.
"It's so strange, looking at your ring makes me feel like crying," Mrs. Landon said.
Because this ring carries too many emotions, even if mother normally forgets about father and all those past entanglements, those memories, those feelings, are not truly forgotten, but are hidden deep in her subconscious. That's why seeing this ring elicits such a reaction.
"Perhaps this ring is meant for you, how about I give it to you?" Mabel Quinn suggested.
