"So back then, did you know about my mother leaving my father after your death?" Kyle Kinston asked.
Adrian Conley rubbed his sweat-covered hands nervously, stuttered, "I... I also found out unintentionally two years later."
"Two years later?" Kyle murmured softly, his gaze upon Adrian grew colder. "Why didn't you show up then? Why didn't you let people know you weren't actually dead? Could you not guess that your sudden death might make my mother believe my father had killed you, leading her to flee?"
Adrian's face turned pale as paper. He could more or less guess the reason, but... "I... I felt I was already a dead man, why bother appearing again to stir up trouble? Moreover, I thought, with your father's capability, he should be able to find your mother."
