As soon as the other car started and drove away, without thinking, he got into his car and followed.
At this moment, inside the car, Daxton was asking Alice Conley, "Did you come to the Hospital today because you were feeling unwell?"
"Nothing much, just a routine check-up," she said. "And you, during the weekend, putting aside the person you like, and coming out with me like this, is it okay?"
"It's fine, you're different," Daxton smiled. "My parents asked me what I think of you, I said really good, then they kept pushing me to ask you out again, so I tried giving you a call. Luckily, you agreed, otherwise my parents might've dragged me to your door today to ask you out."
Alice was startled by his exaggeration. "Not that extreme, are your parents... uh, really that eager to separate you from that person?"
Daxton's eyes darkened, "Yes, they really want to, although I've been trying hard, but..."
